SBI PO 2024 Selection Process

It's very important to know the exam pattern of SBI PO 2024 which is split in two parts: Prelims & Mains. We are providing you with detailed information on it. Eligible candidates will have to undergo three phases viz. (i) Phase-I (ii) Phase-II and (iii) Phase-III. Candidates who will be shortlisted after Phase-I will have to appear for Phase-II. And those who will be shortlisted after the Phase-II will be subsequently called for the final part, Phase-III.

  3. Phase-III or the Interview & Group Exercises

The whole recruitment process is generally wrapped up by the month of February/March 2024 & the results will be declared soon afterwards.

Number of Attempts: The maximum number of chances are fixed for each category.

SBI PO Exam Pattern 2024

In this, we are providing you with information about the pattern of SBI PO exam so that you all can prepare for the exam well and crack the SBI PO exam. To crack any exam, it is very important to understand its pattern. Before preparing for the exam, it is important for all the candidates to understand the exam pattern, only then you will be able to crack the exam, so we have provided the pattern of SBI PO prelims exam and mains exam below, you can see it and start your preparation.

SBI PO Preliminary Exam Pattern 2024

Candidates will have to clear the Prelims or first Phase of the SBI PO exam 2024, in order to reach the Mains exam. The preliminary exam will be an online exam of 1-hour duration for 100 marks. The test will entertain 3 sections. As the sectional cut-off in the Preliminary Exam has been removed, the overall score of all the sections will be considered for selection. The cut-off or minimum passing marks for each section will be decided by SBI based on the difficulty-level of the test. Given below is the section-wise division of the marks:

Negative Marking: One mark is allotted for each question and ¼ or in other words 0.25 negative marking is deducted for every incorrect answer.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2023

The mains exam will include an objective test of 200 Marks as well as a Subjective or Descriptive Test of 50 Marks. The Descriptive Test will be administered immediately after conclusion of the Objective Test and candidates will have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.

  • SBI PO Objective Test: The duration of objective test is 3 hours, and it consists of 4 Sections of total 200 marks. There will be separate timing for every section.

What is the eligibility criteria for SBI PO exam?

The eligibility criteria for SBI PO exam are as follows: The candidate must be a citizen of India. The candidate must have a graduation degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution. The candidate must be between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government norms.

What is the selection process for SBI PO exam? +

The selection process for SBI PO exam consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination: It is an online objective test of 100 marks and one-hour duration. It has three sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. Main Examination: It is an online objective and descriptive test of 250 marks and three-hour duration. It has four sections: Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. The descriptive test consists of two questions on letter writing and essay writing. Group Exercise and Interview: It is the final stage of the selection process. It carries 50 marks and evaluates the candidates’ personality, communication skills, and suitability for the bank.

It can be, especially for aspirants which have prepared over the course of last 2-3 months for exam like RRB PO, Clerk, IDBI, & SBI Clerk. You will have to follow a dedicated study plan.

How to apply for SBI PO exam? +

The candidates can apply for SBI PO exam online through the official website of SBI (www.sbi.co.in). The application process involves the following steps: Registration: The candidates have to register themselves by providing basic details such as name, email, phone number, etc. Application Form: The candidates have to fill the application form by providing personal, educational, and other details. They also have to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature. Application Fee: The candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 750 (for General/EWS/OBC category) and Nil (for SC/ST/PWD category) through online mode using debit card/credit card/internet banking. Confirmation: The candidates have to submit the application form and take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
