SNAP 2023 Exam

The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a computer-based entrance exam conducted by Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune, for admission to its various MBA and postgraduate management programs. The exam is held thrice a year, and candidates can take a maximum of three attempts. The best score out of the three attempts is considered for admission.

The SNAP exam is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India, and is accepted by over 15 Symbiosis institutes, as well as other leading B-schools. The exam is designed to assess candidates' analytical and logical reasoning skills, quantitative skills, and English language skills.

SNAP 2023 Exam Pattern

The format of SNAP underwent a change in 2017 from a paper-based format to a computer-based one. Next year (in 2018), the format was altered once again and special questions were introduced. The number of questions was lessened thereby affecting the format once again in 2019. When COVID-19 struck in 2020, the questions were limited to 60 questions and the duration of the exam was set to 1 hour. And until 2023, the same format is being followed. The SNAP exam is a 60-minute test with 60 multiple-choice questions. The exam is divided into three sections:

  • The SNAP Test 2023 is a computer-based test with a duration of 60 minutes. The test dates are on 10th, 17th, and 22nd December 2023. The exact timings will be available on the Admit Card.
  • The test is objective, with each question having four responses. Candidates should choose the most appropriate response. Please note that each wrong answer attracts 25% negative marks.
  • A candidate can appear for up to three tests for SNAP. If a candidate appears for more than one test, the higher score will be considered for the final percentile calculation. There will be no normalization.
  • The question papers will be normalized for the level of difficulty across all three tests. A rigorous process that has been statistically tested will be administered to ensure that unique types of questions are framed under a specific topic across the question papers.
  • The total number of questions is 60 and the total marks are also 60.
  • There is no sectional cut-off. Your overall score is considered for admission, so it is important to perform well in all sections of the exam.
  • SNAP scores are accepted by over 15 Symbiosis institutes, as well as other leading B-schools.

SNAP 2023 Eligibility

To be eligible for the SNAP exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university
  • Must have secured at least 50% marks in the qualifying exam (45% for reserved category candidates)
  • There is no age limit for the SNAP exam
  • Once SNAP exam is conducted, Symbiosis International University, Pune will announce the eligibility criteria to apply for admission in 15 Symbiosis Institutions.

SNAP 2023 Application Process

To apply for the SNAP exam, candidates need to visit the official website of Symbiosis International (Deemed) University, Pune, and fill out the online application form. The application form will require candidates to provide their personal details, academic qualifications, and work experience (if any). Candidates will also need to pay an application fee of Rs 1950 online or by DD.

Step 2: New User Registration

On the SNAP website, find and click on the "Register" or "New Registration" link.

You will be asked to provide some basic details like your name, date of birth, email address, and mobile number.

Create a strong password for your SNAP account.

Step 3: Email Verification

Once you've filled in the necessary information, you will receive a verification link in your registered email address.

Click on the verification link to activate your SNAP account. This step confirms your email address and enables you to proceed with the registration process.

Step 4: Fill in Personal Information

After email verification, log in to your SNAP account with your credentials.

Complete your personal information, including your name, gender, category, nationality, and address.

Step 5: Educational Details

Enter your academic qualifications, such as your 10th, 12th, and bachelor's degree details.

You may also be asked to provide information about any work experience you have (if applicable).

Step 6: Select Preferred MBA Programs

Choose the MBA programs or courses you want to apply for through SNAP.

You can select up to 15 Symbiosis institutes and courses. Make sure to check the eligibility criteria of the chosen programs before selecting them.
