ESIC Recruitment 2022 Eligibility Criteria For UDC, Steno & MTS

Educational Qualifications

STENOGRAPHER:

1. 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
2. Skill Test Norms:
   Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 80 words per minute.
   Transcription:
   50 minutes (English),
   65 minutes (Hindi)
   (Only on computers).

ESIC Upper Division Clerk (UDC):

1. A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Working knowledge of computer including use of office suites and
   databases.

MTS

Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized Board.

Age Limit

(a) The Age Limit For different ESIC posts are as follows:

• UDC & Steno – Between 18 to 27 years as of the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. 15th February 2022.
• MTS – Between 18 to 25 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications i.e. 15th
  February 2022.

(b) Upper age limit is relaxable for persons belonging to reserved categories e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants as under:

The scheme of Examination for the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) is as under:

ESIC UDC 2022 Prelims Exam (Phase - I)

ESIC UDC 2022 Mains Exam (Phase - II)

Computer Skill Test (Phase - III)

The ESIC Stenographer Exam Pattern includes two stages – Objective type & Skill Test. 

ESIC Stenographer Phase-1 Main Examination

ESIC Stenographer Phase-2 Skill Test

The candidates who qualify in Mains Exam will have to appear in the skill test which is qualifying in nature. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi (as opted by the candidates in the Online Application Form) at the speed of 80 words per minute.

There are two stages of written tests in the selection process for ESIC MTS positions. Applicants who pay the application fee and have submitted their applications on time will be allowed to take the written tests. 

• Phase – I Preliminary Examination
• Phase – II Main Examination

ESIC MTS Exam Pattern 2022

Phase I – Preliminary Examination (Qualifying in Nature)

Note: Exam Duration – 60 minutes

Phase – I Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature and marks will not be reckoned for final merit. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question. The candidates will be shortlisted for Phase II in the ratio of 1:10 i.e. about 10 times the number of vacancies in each category on the basis of their performance in Phase-I – Preliminary Examination

Phase II – Main Examination

Note: Exam Duration – 120 minutes

The marks obtained in Phase-II Main Examination will be considered for final selection. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question.

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges

• SC/ST/PWD/ Departmental Candidates, Female Candidates & Ex-Servicemen -: Rs. 250/-*
• * This fee of Rs. 250/- shall be refunded duly deducting Bank Charges as applicable, on appearing of the candidate in the Phase – I Written Examination
• All other categories -: Rs. 500/-
