ESIC Exam Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must have earned the following qualification as of the closing date of receipt of their online application if they wish to apply for ESIC UDC, MTS, & Stenographer Exam 2024.
ESIC Recruitment Eligibility - ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

UDC | - A degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of computer including the use of office suites and databases.

Stenographer | - 12th class pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.
- Skill Test Norms:
Dictation: 10 Minutes @ 80 words per minute. Transcription: 50 minutes (English), 65 minutes (Hindi) (Only on computers).

MTS | Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized Board. |
A candidate who has not acquired/will not acquire the educational qualification as of the closing date of receipt of online application will not be eligible and need not apply.
ESIC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria - AGE LIMIT
Please check the ESIC UDC Age limit below:
(a) The Age Limit For different ESIC posts are as follows:
- UDC & Steno – Between 18 to 27 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications, i.e. 15th February 2022.
- MTS – Between 18 to 25 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications, i.e. 15th February 2022.
(b) Upper age limit is relaxable for persons belonging to reserved categories e. SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants as under:

As per instructions of DoPT, a PWD applicant is entitled to age concession in different combinations subject to the condition of the maximum age of 56 years. Further in case of a PWD by virtue of being a ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a ‘person with disability'oras a ESIC/Govt. Employee' whichever may be more beneficial to him/her. |

Closing date of Online Application will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility with regard to age, essential qualification etc.

ESIC Eligibility - NATIONALITY/ CITIZENSHIP
A candidate must be either:
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the Ist January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.
ESIC Qualifying Marks
As mentioned in the notification, the candidates have to score more than the minimum qualifying marks to get shortlisted for the ESIC Recruitment 2024 vacancies. Check the category-wise ESIC Minimum Qualifying Marks from the below table-
