The Reserve Bank of India is India's Central Banking Institution, which controls the Monetary Policy of the Indian Rupee. It commenced its operations on 1 April 1935 during the British Rule in accordance with the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. RBI has its headquarters in Mumbai.

RBI Grade B exam

Name of the Post - Grade B General DR

Number of Vacancies - 163 (includes seats reserved for various categories as per Govt. of India rules)

Eligibility (As on 01/07/2016) - A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th and 10th standard examinations. The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor's Degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years.

Age Limit (As on 01/07/2016) -. Between 21 and 30 years (candidates must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1986 and not later than 01/10/1995).

 

Selection Procedure -

  • Phase I - Preliminary Examination consisting of online objective tests of 2 hour duration for 200 marks. Approximately candidates equivalent to 20 times the number of posts would be shortlisted after the Phase - I preliminary examination for further selection process. The marks obtained in the Phase - I is only for shortlisting the candidates for the next step and shall not be considered for final selection.
  • Phase II - Mains Examination consisting of one descriptive test on (I) English, two compulsory objective tests on (II) Economic and Social Issues and (III) Finance & Management of 1.5 hours duration carrying 100 marks each. Adequate number of candidates under various categories would be shortlisted for further process on the basis of their performance in Mains Examinations.
  • Phase III - Interview - Interview is conducted of the candidates shortlisted for interviews on the basis of their performance in Mains examinations.
  • Final Selection - The final merit list is arrived at after considering candidates’ performance in Mains examinations and Interview. The selection will be made from the top merit ranked candidates in each category.

Q. I have bought a test series package consisting of 10 tests, but after successful payment I can see only 4 or 5 or x tests of that test series?

Please don’t worry you would get all the tests before the scheduled date of examination. Mock tests are uploaded on an ongoing basis. A tentative monthly schedule of mock tests to be uploaded in a given month is on the homepage of the website.

On submission of your mock test, your score and All-India rank would be immediately generated. The All India ranking is dynamic in nature and it would change as more number of users attempt that mock test.

Q. A mock test was made live on August 10, 2016. Am I supposed to attempt that test on that date itself
No, you can attempt that test on any date or time as per your convenience before the validity date of a particular test expires. Each test is active for one year from the date on which it was made live.

Q. In what all languages Mock tests are available?

Currently, our mock tests are available in English only.
