After having gone through the analysis of these exams, you must have got a pretty good idea of what to expect in the upcoming exam. You would have also observed that some topics were repeated which is what makes these topics important. Practice very well on these topics and also see how are you faring in the restricted environment of a mock test. Let’s now have a look at the list of expected topics.
It’s obvious that the majority of the questions in 2019 & 2020 were from Data Interpretation. And why not? The level of difficulty in data interpretation questions can be increased easily by combining different graphs and charts together. Also, the fact that the concepts of percentage, ratio & proportion, average etc. can be checked in data interpretation questions themselves. However, it’s only by practising questions of different levels that you can score good marks in this section. When you practice a sufficient number of questions, it only takes 10-15 seconds to determine whether a DI question is easy and should be solved or should be skipped.

Data Sufficiency in itself checks other concepts like profit & loss, averages etc. Some aspirants think that data sufficiency questions are easy to answer because you really don’t have to answer the question, rather you have to determine whether the data provided is sufficient to answer the question. Sometimes these questions are really confusing and it’s only by practice by which you can answer data sufficiency questions accurately and with speed. Go through all the options carefully before finalizing your answer.
In these types of questions, you will be provided with 2 problems. You need to solve both the problems and compare both the answers to arrive at the answer. Problems can be related to any other topic like simple interest, profit & loss, age-related problems, boats & streams etc. To answer these questions correctly and with speed, you need to have done enough practice beforehand. Also, needless to say that you ought to know the concept of both the questions whose quantities you are supposed to compare. If you have doubt in even 1 concept, you may end up with an incorrect answer.
These questions are pretty easy to answer if you have practised well before. Although the logic on which a number series is based can be anything but you can solve these questions once you get the hang of it. And unlike other topics, there is no specific formula to answer number series problems. So your best friend is ‘practice’. Similarly, approximation questions can also be mastered by doing a lot of practice. In fact, ideally, the approximation should happen in your mind and you don’t necessarily need to pick up your pen to answer them. This skill saves a lot of time and effort in the actual exam and comes only by practice.
