Vikas Gupta’s Success Story

We are hereby publishing Vikas Gupta’s success story who has cleared IBPS PO, SBI JA, IBPS Clerk and RRB Office Assistant exams. Read his strategy as how he has managed to clear all these exams.

I started my preparation after my graduation result in November 2020. Firstly I cleared my concepts from educators of different subjects. I followed Aashish Arora sir for Quant, Sakshi Pahwa ma’am for English, Ankush Lamba sir for Reasoning and Abhijeet sir for Banking awareness. For Current affairs I used to follow daily video of Abhijeet sir and practice mock quiz. After clearing my concepts I practise mostly from mock tests. I used to take Practice mock tests and focus on analysis part most. Initially my marks in mocks and percentile were very poor, but with proper analysis it improved with time.

Which exams did you appear in till date and what were their results?

SBI PO 2020- couldn’t qualify pre

IBPS RRB PO 2021- Pre qualified but stopped in mains due to sectional cutoff of Reasoning

IBPS RRB Clerk- Qualified and got Prathama UP Gramin Bank

SBI PO 2021- Qualified pre and mains but couldn’t make it final as interview marks were less (Couldn’t qualify even 30 marks more than mains cutoff)

SBI JA 2021- Qualified and currently working

IBPS Clerk 2021- Took this exam as I applied

SBI JA from Rajasthan but belong from MP and qualified and got Indian bank

IBPS PO 2021- Qualified and got Indian bank

Section-wise Preparation Strategy

English Section Preparation Strategy

I cleared my concepts from classes of Sakshi Pahwa ma’am. I also used to read editorial daily and took sectional as well as full mock tests of Practice mock.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy

For this I used to follow Aashish Arora sir. I also preferred Ace book for arithmetic. I also tried to make DI as my strength and it helped me alot.

Attempt Free Topic Wise Quant Quizzes

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

For this I followed Ankush Lamba sir. I also used to solve 5-10 puzzles on daily basis and miscellaneous part was covered by mocks only.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

For Banking awareness I followed Abhijeet sir classes and for current affairs I watched his daily current affairs video and also used to take quiz.

Computer Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

For this I followed Sahil sir classes and mock tests.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced.

Wake up at 6:30, and started study at 7:00 am with editorial then study current affairs. Then I used to take mock and analyse it properly. Also watches some classes of educators whom I mentioned. At night time I used to take current affairs quiz before sleeping. Initially I had very poor marks in mocks and couldn’t qualify sbi po prelims in 2020. But in that situation patience played a big role, I started taking mocks calmly without any hurry and analysing it properly, It increased my accuracy and with time my marks also improved.
