I am Vijayendra Singh Rajput and I completed my engineering in Mechanical Engineering in JUNE 2019. At that time i thought of starting preparation for Banking Exams. I am here to share my success story with all the aspirants as I cleared SBI Clerk.

I completed my engineering in Mechanical Engineering in JUNE 2019. At that time i thought of starting preparation for Banking Exams. As Banking Exams hardly take 6 months for the whole process. I also choose banking because as an engineer i thought i will easily secure job by the end of 2019.

Which Exams did you appeared in till date

The first exam that i appeared was SBI PO 2019 and i secured 35 marks in it and the cutoff was 73. More than double than my marks. The second exam i gave was of sbi clerk and i secured 53 marks in it and the cutoff was 73. These two starting result was enough to tell me that banking path is not going to be easy for me. So, i started my serious preparation from July 2019. Then in 2019 i cleared the prelims examination of LIC ADO, LIC Assistant and IBPS Clerk. But was not able to crack mains of any single examination.

I saw my loopholes and worked literally hard in 2020. But, luck is something that is not going to be on my side so soon. In 2020, i was out in SBI PO Pre by a margin of 0.5 and in IBPS PO PRE by a margin of 3 marks. Although i cleared SBI CLERK 2020 PRE, but in mains was out by 7 marks. The best part of 2020 was that i scored 97 marks in RRB PO Mains which is 20 marks above the cutoff and 128 marks in RRB CLERK Mains which was 8 marks above the cutoff. But, the worst part is that i scored only 40 in RRB PO Interview and then was not able to make it to the final list. Also, i missed reasoning sectional cutoff in RRB CLERK MAINS, so was rejected in that too. It was hard to tackle failures like such. But, once again with a little hope i again started finding my loopholes. And finally this year, I got 92.5 marks in SBI CLERK PRELIMS and 114.5 marks in SBI CLERK MAINS which is 16.75 marks more than my cutoff. Also, final result of rrb clerk, rrb po and idbi po is awaited.

English Section Preparation Strategy

English is a subject in which improvement needs time. I watched lectures of anchal mam of Adda247. But, after i few days, i started forget all the rules. So, instead of learning rules i remember only basic rules of tense, subject verb agreement and with that learned vocabulary from WORD POWER MADE EASY. With continuous practice and reading, i started getting 95+ percentile in mocks including PracticeMock.

I learned basic concepts and shortcut tricks from Rahul Deshwal Sir. I refined my approaches from Sumit Sir and Aashish Arora Sir then after. Refining your approach continuously should be your main aim.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

For Puzzle and miscellaneous part i watched Ankush Lamba Sir. And for logical reasoning i watched Radhey Sir. And then gave mocks and mocks.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

This is the game changer section and i changed my sources various time in that. I tried to read AffairsCloud as everyone told me it is must. But, the problem with me is that i am not able to read it daily because it requires too much time. So, i shifted to a combination of Best 300 of gaurav garg sir and Gk today daily mcq. This combination proved to be the best for me.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced

In the starting point of my prepartion i cleared my basic concepts and once they are cleared i started giving mocks. I used to give 4 mocks a day before my SBI CLERK prelims.

When i was rejected even after scoring 20 marks more than RRB PO Mains and by getting 8 marks more than cutoff in RRB CLERK MAINS. I was depressed in a way that i cannot express in words. But, tough time creates tough people. And today whatever be i am it is because of that time.
