I started my preparation for bank exams from 2019 and finally I cleared SBI Junior Associate. I am sharing my success story with PracticeMock, please give it a read.
I started my preparation for bank exams from 2019. Initially there were some rough patches and it took some time for me to learn the basics well. I was doing my MBA (full time) and was simultaneously preparing for bank exams so it consumed a lot of time for me to get the basics correct. But once i learnt the basics then I was quite confident of clearing the prelims.
Till date i have given 35+ exams out of which i had cleared 15+ prelims but have failed to clear mains. SBI JA is the first mains exam which i have cleared successfully. My bank exam preparation was a bit of roller coaster ride. First I could not clear prelims, it took some time then i was able to crack it then i failed mains and finally i had cleared one. So patience, determination and hard work was finally paid off.
English Section Preparation Strategy
English Section played a vital role in my selection.I studied wren & Martin book for basics, then I took Practicemock and I rectified my mistakes by seeing the solution.Reading Comprehension is a vital thing, because in mains we can expect 34 sets of RC and if we prepare well we can definitely score well kin this section.Daily I used to read something. As i was doing my MBA and currently Iam employed i read a lot of things so it became a habit for me.Mains level English mocks were really helpful as it helped me to score really well.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy
For Aptitude I learnt the basics from the book named Quantum Cat by Sarvesh Verma. Its really a good book.Once Iam done with the basics i started giving PM mocks and sectional tests. It really helped me to improve the speed and accuracy. Here i would suggest all to get the arithmetic topics like SI-CI.Profit Loss etc to be strong because in mains we can expect the topic based DI,so without learning the basics it would be really difficult to crack. So in prelims aptitude is all about speed,in mains its all about smart work and test of in depth knowledge of topics.
Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy
Reasoning section i learnt the basics from some youtube channels and then directly started giving mocks and speed tests.PM tests played a vital role in this as well. We need to solve puzzles and miscellaneous questions on a daily basis to get command over the topics. So i would suggest all the aspirants to solve atleast 3-4 sets of puzzles on daily basis. Being consistent is very important.
General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy
For GK i used Affairs Cloud. I study in a daily basis. Then revise on weekly basis.I also used affairs cloud monthly pocket, q&a for revision purposes. Then i take weekly quiz from practicemock. Then I used to analyse my gk section from mains level mocks. GK needs to be studied on a daily basis and proper revision is required to crack this.GK is the only section where we can score easily without any difficulty. I failed in many mains mainly because of GK.I did not study properly. Then i realised the importance of it and studied regularly.
I analysed my weakness and areas that needs improvement.I made plan where i can work on it on a daily basis. Also i focussed a lot on GK section, because GK section can help in getting selection. Also i made sure i was consistent in giving mocks daily and analysed the mocks properly.
Since I am working in an IT company I found out when i would be free then i analyzed my weak areas where i need to improve. Then i focused on this to improve. Initially i found it difficult to manage my work as well as my preparation, but once I started clearing prelims it boosted me and was a great motivation, I sacrificed my sleep and worked day and night and finally was able to clear the mains. So we need to sacrifice something rather than losing a big thing.
Yes.PracticeMock played an important role in my success. The mocks are at par when compared to the actual exams. It helped me to prepare for the worst.I was able to identifu my weak areas from the mock test.Mains level mock are one step harder than the actual level especially the quant and reasoning section,so the mocks played a vital role in my selection. Also for prelims the mocks are as per recent trend and sectional tests were helpful in increasing my speed.

I would suggest all the aspirants to be patient. To clear bank exams we need to work hard consistently on a regular basis. Be patient, failures will come but we need to learn from it and improve in every situation. For prelims its all about speed, accuracy. So take mocks and do proper analysis. Mains is all about smart work, test of basic topics. Selection of questions always matters. So work hard consistently and wait for your turn, definitely success will definitely knock your door.
