Solomon’s Success Story

I completed graduation in 2018 and started my preparation in February 2020, I learnt a lot in these past 2 years. Anyone can clear the exam if they get a right guidance and be consistent daily. During the start, I took a week and watched only toppers talk and came to know about different sites and sources to study, then i filtered through my own analysis which one is great for aspirants, in this way only I came to know about PracticeMock. Initially i had a fear that no general category students can clear this exam but later i found out it was just a myth. I cleared my basics first through various sources and then I used to give 4 prelims mocks daily during my initial phase and then I started giving only mains mocks. I failed my prelims many a times, i still remember my first prelims mock mark was 29 and now as you see clearing two exams was a dream come true. English Section Preparation Strategy

Just mocks, My english was good among all the section and as i said 4 mocks daily and i was familiar with the pattern.This was enough and sufficient for the day.

SSC CGL Tier I Free Mock

Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy

This was my weakest section and i used to practice from various PDF’s available in telegram and quantum cat by sarvesh k verma book. Go through the basics again and again. I would provide enough time daily to practice from quizzes available in different sites, like affairscloud app quizzes, practicemock app quizzes etc. Learn squares upto 50 and cubes upto 30, it would be a time saviour in many exams.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

I used to practice 5 mains level questions daily, I was initially weak in reasoning but gradually i picked up the pace. Picking up the right question at the right time is the key to score more in this section. Remember the alphabets numerically, It would be a time saviour in many questions like input-output, alpha numeric series etc. It would take time to remember but once you remember it would be easy for you.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

Affairs cloud was the only source i followed, Its better to follow only one source and revise from it, rather than following multiple sources and keep on studying. If you are attempting any ga mocks, spend time to analyse why the other incorrect options are given, what relevance does they have to the real question, in this way you can easily prepare general awareness section.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced

I used to study after my 9-6 job so my daily schedule was after 7’o clock. I used to study only at night time. More than studying i would say choose what to study, you need not cover everything under the sun. Go through the past year papers you will get a understanding of it.

Yes, As a aspirant not only me but every individual will go through it. Mentally be prepared for the hurdles. You will see your friends getting selected, you will see that your scores are getting less suddenly, the daily social voices of people telling about bank privatisation, pattern change and various other things. But trust yourselves first, make your mind and practice hard. Persistence, patience and endurance just like edmond hillary said “Its not the mountain we need to conquer but ourselves”
