I am Shantanu Singh and this is my success story which I will be presenting in the form of this article. I gave my first exam of SBI PO in 2019 and I cleared the prelims, but could not clear mains exam. I have given multiple mocks and as far as my study schedule is concerned I did follow a rigorous schedule and I used to give mock tests on a regular basis as they helped me in finding my mistakes.
I gave my first exam of banking, SBI PO in 2019 and RRB Clerk after that in which I cleared the prelims but failed in Mains. 2020 was completely wasted due to COVID and my prep was on/off for quite sometime. Then finally in Oct 2021 I stepped out of home and rigorously studied and cleared all the prelims, but still couldn’t clear mains. Eventually I got selected in IBPS CLERK XI in the reserve list and this year I got selected in RRB Clerk as well. As far as exams in which I have appeared include:
English Section Preparation:
I didn’t really have to prepare much for the english section, as I have a strong hold in English since childhood due to my ICSE background. I just gave mocks on a regular basis and kept marking my weaknesses and worked on them.
Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation:
I have always been good at quants being from an Engineering background. But the classes of Ashish Arora Sir really helped me to solve the questions with a better and faster approach.
Reasoning Section Preparation:
Reasoning was something that I always dreaded, I could never solve the puzzles as I lacked the imagination. But thanks to Puneet Sir and his innovative ways which helped me learn the concepts. Today I can proudly say that Reasoning is my highest scoring area.
General Awareness Section Preparation:
I have always relied on Affair Cloud for PDF and Aditya Sir and Sheetal Ma’am for videos. Just giving 2-3 hours of your day can give you a good grasp on the subject. Remember Revision is the key. Candidates can also prepare from weekly CA & monthly CA PDF from practicemock.
I did follow a rigorous schedule. I used to study for 6-8 hours a day giving equal time to every subject so that I can have a balanced score. I gave mocks on a regular basis they help you find your mistakes. I was very weak in GA and Reasoning in the initial days but continuous practice and never give up attitude and proper guidance helped me win over my shortcomings.
Yes PracticeMock was an integral part of my success. The mocks gave me idea of where I should work to be better. The quality of questions was really exam like and it provided an exam like scenario at home itself.
All I would say is Never let anything come between you and your dreams. Every now n then you will want to quit because of continuous failures. But that is the time when you need to believe in yourself. Trust me every failure brings you closer to your victory. Never give up.
We hope that these Success stories keep inspiring you for your exam preparation. We sincerly believe that these success stories will keep you motivated so that you keep working hard to achieve your goal. You can read & follow more such success stories here at PracticeMock.com.
