Manohar Kumar’s Success Story

I started appearing in banking exams since 2017 and took it as a wholehearted passion from 2018. I cleared the prelims for the 1st time in SBI PO 2019 but couldn’t get through mains and now I finally cleared SBI Ja. Yesterday, IBPS PO prelims result was declared and I was lucky enough to get through as I gave this exam without any proper preparation (My attempt was only 64) As I have recently joined Indian railways as an ALP, I had limited time to prepare.

I cleared my grammar and common errors once and developed a habbit of reading English news and articles especially from The Hindu editorial and editorial on PM blog.

To clear Pre exams you have to be superfast with calculations learn tables, squares,cubes etc.I practiced different types of questions from mocks only.

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy

I am not so good at solving puzzles so solve miscellaneous questions mostly. You should practice puzzles daily it’s very important for any bank exams.

General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy

I prepared from two sources like Testbook daily quizzes and monthly from other sources. It also provides PDFs of important topics on it’s blog and I used to attempt all weekly GA quizzes on PM before exam. Lastly Clear your basics first it’s Ramban then start attempting mock tests I would recommend PracticeMock you can also go for OB if you are getting high percentiles in PM.

Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced

To be honest I prepared online on my Phone only (no books) I couldn’t not afford a Laptop. My basics was thik thak so I focused only on mock tests to improve myself I spent hours on mocks on a daily basis.Mock test is a Must for Banking Aspirants you should not avoid it.It increases your marks drastically if analysed well. I don’t have a fixed time table but I study for Seven to Eight hours a day. I always give my all that’s it. I belong to a Village in Samastipur where no proper coaching is available for banking exams and there are only a few students preparing for it (I met only one that too was not serious).There are also various problems like financial,familial and break-ups anyway you have to be mature enough to overcome all these. “Pain is a gift from the gods of growth”
