Congratulations on your success! Please give us a brief background about yourself.
Hi My name is Atin Kumar Srivastava and I am from Gorakhpur UP. I completed my graduation in B.tech(CSE) in 2015 and worked in MNC Orange Business Services for 1 year.I wanted to get a govt job in banking sector so I resigned and devoted my self for the bank exams.
Which exams did you appear in till date and what were their results?
First exam That I gave was of Ibps PO pre 2016 and failed by 6 marks . Coming To 2017, I was not able to clear any exams in 2017 , not even pre failed by 1 or 1.5 marks but I took one positive note from this and that was earlier in 2016 I failed by 6 marks and now in 2017 by 1 marks in almost all pre so now the margin was low that helped me to stay motivated and I thought I am in the right direction and I would definitely clear all exams in the near future and I was right . In 2018 I purchased PM series and cleared all the pre examinations and 1-2 main exams..Some of the exams I appeared in 2018 are:
- SBI po cleared pre failed in mains by 3 marks
- sbi clerk cleared pre failed in mains but still waiting list to come.
- RRB Po cleared pre failed in mains reasoning sectional though I was +10 above cutoff
- RRB clerk pre cleared failed mains by 2marks.
- NIACL assitant cleared pre and mains but out in the final list, waiting list to come.
- IBPS po cleared Pre out in mains.
- RRB GRoup C technician cleared Pre waiting for mains result
- Finally Cleared CANARA BANK PO PGDBF .
For RRB group C i purchased testbook series.
What was your overall preparation strategy?
I Started preparing for govt Bank Exams in 2016 . In the starting it was difficult for me as I was new to this but later on with the help of coaching, books ,testseries, and youtube videos I became familiar with the types of questions asked and how to prepare myself and to know my weakness. At last I will say that these 5 factors played an imporatnt role in my success
- Practice
- Devotion
- Patience
- Speed & Accuracy
- Time management
Strategy for Quantitative Aptitude?
For Quants I started with Arihant Book and BSC book and I solved them to clear my basics . Then I made notes through amar sir and arun sir videos for new type questions and tricks and used pm test series for speed building accuracy and time management.
Strategy for Reasoning?
This was the weakest section of all mainly due to puzzles..I started to make atleast 5 puzzles everyday from adda247 reasoning book and other sources from net.
Strategy for English:
I followed NEETU singh and AK singh books for common errors..To get good marks in english .I gave sectional test of english every 3-4 days in a week. Youtube video of Vishal Sir will be very helpful.
Strategy for General Awareness?
I followed Study IQ youtube channel as it the best for banking exams alongwith monthly pdfs of affairscloud. Both will almost cover entire news .
Did PracticeMock help you in your success?
I purchased PracticeMock in 2018 and cleared all pre exams of insurance and banking sector. It’s Quant and English section are the best and Has very friendly user interface.
