Therefore, working through practice tests will definitely help you to improve this topic.

4. Active and Passive Voice

The difference between the active and the passive voice is an important thing to learn in English grammar. To write under this topic one has to understand the structures of sentences and format them as needed. The Active voice puts more focus on the subject acting whereas the passive voice puts more focus on the action being performed on the subject. To be proficient in this, one has to read and write more and especially exercise how to change the sentences from one voice to another as well as try to learn rules that concern tense and subject-verb agreement.

3. Synonyms and Antonyms

This topic evaluates your vocabulary knowledge through questions that require you to identify synonyms and antonyms of given words. Candidates must use flashcards to revise the words from time to time and involve themselves in activities like games and quizzes on vocabulary. It is correct to read as many kinds of genres as possible because they will introduce you to new words and contexts, which will help you remember.

5. Direct and Indirect Speech

Direct and Indirect speech questions involve reporting someone’s sayings. In direct speech, an author uses the exact words spoken by another person, whereas, in indirect speech, an author puts the speaker’s words in his own words. To practice, find out the changes in tense, pronouns, and time expressions used while converting between the two forms.
