SSC MTS Revision Strategy, Important Topics: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has provided the official SSC MTS exam dates to conduct the SSC MTS exam from 30th September to 14th November 2024. As we can see only a few days are left for the exam. SSC MTS Revision Strategy, Section-Wise Important Topics

SSC MTS exam consists of four sections. Below we have provided the important topics related to the subjects and revision tips.

1. General Intelligence & Reasoning

Important Topics:

  • Coding-Decoding: Practice on different types of questions based on patterns.
  • Analogies: Solve and understand the questions based on the relationship between pairs of words or numbers.
  • Series Completion: Work on editing the sequence based on patterns on number and alphabet sequences.
  • Classification: Solve questions based on the differentiating between a set of objects, finding the odd one out.
  • Puzzles: Solve different types of puzzles, take reference from mock tests and previous year question papers.

Revision Tip: SSC presents questions from reasoning section to check the thinking ability of candidates. Spend thirty minutes every day solving various types of reasoning questions. Solve the previous year question paper and mock tests.

2. Numerical Aptitude

Important Topics:

  • Simplification: Start solving simplification questions from easy methods and try different types of questions.
  • Number System: Solve practice questions which are based on the understanding of basic concepts.
    Percentage: These are most often used in various kinds of questions, so practice the math to be as fast as possible.
  • Data Interpretation: Practice questions related to interpreting data from tables, graphs and charts.
  • Profit & Loss: Learn the formulas and solve different types of problems.

Revision Tip: Try to solve between 10-15 questions from each topic every day. On this way you will be able to work on the speed and the accuracy depending on the time you spend on the practical exercises. As we all know it is a time-consuming section.

3. General English

Important Topics:

  • Vocabulary: Learn and revise synonyms, antonyms, and one word substitution.
  • Grammar: Candidates must focus on error detection, sentence correction, and fill-in-the-blanks.
  • Comprehension: Self-reading and writing in response to reading selection practice.
  • Spelling Correction: Consciously use similar and easily confused words, such as there, their, and they’re or its and it’s, over and over again.

Revision Tip: Read for 20 minutes each day for vocabulary and write for a half an hour on grammar each day. Practice mock tests that are used to enhance the reading ability or reading skills.

4. General Awareness

Important Topics:

  • Current Affairs: Concentrate on the six months past news especially those concerning awards, sports and other significant events.
  • Static GK: Review the major of the country symbols, dates, and historical events.
  • Science: Understand basic concepts related to Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Polity: Understand the basic structure of the Indian government, some of the key articles of the constitution and recent changes made in the constitution.

Revision Tip: Based on the above structure, dedicate 30 minutes daily to the revision of General Knowledge and current affairs. Sticky notes can be used more informally as a quick revision, especially on the facts.

SSC MTS Revision Tips
