SSC MTS 2023 Notification Out

SSC MTS notification 2022-23 has finally been released. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the official SSC MTS & Havaldar notification 2023 in the late hours of January 18. The Commission has released 11,409 vacancies for the exam this year. Candidates can apply for SSC MTS 2023 exam from 18th January 2023 to 17th February 2023. The SSC MTS 2023 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in April 2023.

The last date to apply for the SSC MTS 2022-23 exam is February 17th. The Commission activated the SSC MTS Online Application Link with the release of its official notification. The SSC MTS 2023 exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) in April 2023. In addition, the Commission will provide the application correction facility from February 23 to 24.

Commission released 10,880 vacancies for SSC MTS posts and 529 vacancies for Havaldar posts in CBIC and CBN. The Staff Selection Commission preponed the SSC MTS application dates from January 25 to 17 in the SSC Exam calendar 2023-24. The Commission will now extend the last date to apply for the SSC MTS 2022-23 exam.

SSC MTS 2023 Exam

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be releasing the SSC MTS Notification 2023 today to announce the number of vacancies for SSC MTS Havaldar (CBIC and CBN) & Multi Tasking Staff. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will organize SSC MTS 2023 exam to recruit Multitasking Staff for various posts like:

1. Havaldar 
2. Peon
3. Daftary
4. Jamadar
5. Junior Gestetner Operator
6. Chowkidar
7. Safaiwala
8. Mali etc.

SSC MTS Selection Process 2023

Staff Selection Commission conducts SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff Exam) in 3 different stages:

1. Paper 1 (online)
2. PET/ PST (only for the post of Havaldar)
3. Descriptive Test

SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2023 

SSC MTS & Havaldar Vacancy 2023 will be released along with SSC MTS Notification 2023 today on 17th January 2023. SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates should fulfill 3 criteria to be eligible for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. Before filling out the applications for SSC MTS Exam, the candidates must know the minimum required Eligibility Criteria in terms of nationality, education qualification, and age limit. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

SSC MTS Citizenship

A candidate is required to be

1. A citizen of India
2. Subject of Nepal
3. Subject of Bhutan
4. Tibetan Refugee
5. Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afghanistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam.

SSC MTS Age Limit (as on 01/01/2023)

The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

i) A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1998 and not later than 01-01-2005.

ii) 18-27 years, the candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005.

Apart from the pre-mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

Havaldar Age Limit (as of 01/01/2023)

A candidate must be of a minimum of 18 years of age and must not exceed 27 years of age, candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2005 are eligible to apply for Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, Department of Revenue.

SSC MTS Educational Qualification

A candidate is required to pass Matriculation (10th class) or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board, University, or Institute to be eligible to apply for SSC MTS 2023 Exam. 

SSC MTS 2023 Selection Process

The eligible candidates for SSC Multi Tasking Staff recruitment will be shortlisted on the basis of three stages. A candidate needs to qualify in each stage with marks more than the cut-off announced. The three stages to be cleared are as below- 

Stage 1- Paper-1 (Objective)

Stage 2- Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) (only for the post of Havaldar)

Stage 3- Paper 2 (Descriptive) 

SSC MTS 2023 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2023 will be conducted in 3 different levels: Paper-1, PET/PST (only for havaldar) Paper-2 (Descriptive Test). Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen-and-paper mode of examination that includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies. Paper III is a skill test that needs to be taken at per candidate’s convenience.

SSC MTS 2023 Paper-1 Exam Pattern 

SSC MTS Tier 1 Exam will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions for 1 mark each. The duration of SSC MTS Paper 1 is 90 minutes. There are 4 subjects namely Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude, and General Awareness. Check marks distribution for each subject below table-

SSC MTS Havaldar PET & PST

The followings are the PET and PST standards for the post of Havaldar in CBIC and CBN as mentioned in SSC MTS Notification 2023. 

SSC MTS 2023 Paper-2 (Descriptive Exam)

Note: There will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e.

(i) 18 to 25 years and

(ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise, and State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I.

SSC MTS 2023 Salary

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20200) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories. According to the 7th pay commission, the in-hand SSC MTS salary lies in the range of 18,000/ to 22,000/ per month with a pay band of (Rs.5200 – 20200) depending on the job post and city allocated.

SSC MTS 2023 Cut-Off

SSC MTS Cut-off is the minimum score that aspirants taking the exam will have to obtain in order to move to the next stage of the exam. The cutoff will be released twice, first for Paper 1 (Tier-1) and second for Paper 2(Tier-2). Cutoffs are released along with the result declaration.
