This is the ideal time for candidates to give priority to the Paper 1 of SSC JE 2024 exam. In SSC JE Paper 1 candidates will have to prepare 3 sections: general knowledge, general awareness, and general engineering for civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering. This Paper will have 200 objective-type questions to be answered in 2 hours’ time. The candidates need to prepare SSC JE paper 1 to move forward successfully in the SSC JE 2024 selection process. There is also a negative marking scheme in it where 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given. The Subject-wise Preparation Strategy for the SSC JE Exam pattern 2024 is given below:

SSC JE 2024 Paper 1-General Intelligence and Reasoning Strategy

General Intelligence & Reasoning gives space to 50 questions worth 50 Marks, making it a high weightage section. It is Scoring. So, a candidate who will score above 40 or 45 marks in this section will get an advantage over other competitors. But the negative marking should also be kept in mind while dealing with this part of the exam. Candidates need to be cautious, as every wrong answer will face a penalty of 0.25 marks. Questions will be available in both English and Hindi.

Given below is the preparation strategy that candidates can adopt in this part for one month to get good results:

  • Candidates should focus on intense practice to strengthen this section and improve their speed and accuracy simultaneously. Continuous practice will undoubtedly increase their speed.
  • They should keep reviewing and analyzing their mistakes regularly for the entire last month until the exam day. They should focus on improving weak concepts quickly. Understand concepts from incorrect answers and work on them promptly.
  • They should set quick targets. By having targets, they better their score. Therefore, define clear targets and meet them to maximize their score.
  • Attempt sectional mock tests regularly to get ahead of other candidates. Mock tests help improve your overall score.

SSC JE 2024 Paper 1 General Awareness Strategy For 12 Days

General Awareness is said to be the most overlooked Section, as many candidates often neglect it while preparing for in SSC JE Paper 1 exam. This section is an easy path to maximize the score. Candidates need to follow current affairs, master the static portion, take mock tests, and go through Previous Year Papers to get ready to answer all types of questions quickly and boost their overall marks. Here is the best strategy to successfully deal with this section of the exam:

  • Candidates should revise important current affairs. They should also revise the important topics/questions asked in the SSC JE exam.
  • Revise the static portion asked in the exam. The static portion has great importance in paper 1. They should go through it thoroughly and review static information asked in the exam.
  • Candidates must take the latest mock tests as much as possible. They’ll find many repeating questions in this section which will help them master this section.
  • They should solve the Previous year’s question papers. Solving them will give them a great idea to increase their focus on particular sections.

SSC JE 2024 Paper 1 General Engineering Paper Strategy For 12 Days

General Engineering Paper or the Technical Section (Civil & Structural Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering) is also an important part of the SSC JE 2024 Paper 1 exam. This section provides the candidates with maximum value because General Engineering has the highest weightage, with 100 marks, among the three sections. It tests the technical expertise of the candidates. It tests the technical and engineering knowledge of the candidates in paper 1. Mastering this subject is essential for better results. Here is the preparation strategy to deal with this section successfully:

  • Master the basics and the fundamentals by revisiting all topics, formulas, graphs, and equations.
  • They should focus on covering high-weightage topics but cover all topics adequately.
  • Give sufficient time to revision and do multiple Revisions. Revise your notes multiple times for clarity.
  • They should cover all the concepts related to their branch: Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
  • Take section-wise mock tests regularly. Identify mistakes and learn from them.
  • Stay motivated and use mock tests for practice. Whenever they get a low score after attempting a mock test, they should not be disappointed with the result. Instead, they should pay heed to their mistakes by carefully going through the mock test feedback and improve by trying to get better results confidently in the next mock test. They should repeat this process and they will experience improvement.

Conclusion

The last month before the Paper 1 exam is extremely important. Candidates should not become complacent in their exam preparation. All they need is to remain focused and completely dedicated to their studies. They should practice by taking as many mock tests as they can. Also, they should maintain a positive attitude and have full faith in their knowledge and skills. Self-belief matters, whether any candidate is a fresher or repeating the exam. They must trust in their abilities and put in their best efforts. They should remember that confidence and persistent effort will lead them to success.
