Has the SSC GD 2022-23 Exam Pattern been changed?
Do you know that the SSC GD exam pattern has been changed by the Commission? Well, the Staff Selection Commission changed the SSC GD Computer-Based Exam (CBE) time, the number of questions, the total marks assigned to each question and the negative marking associated with the incorrect answers. As per the official SSC GD notification, the SSC GD 2022 exam will be conducted in January 2023 tentatively. Therefore, it becomes mandatory for all the candidates to know all about the changes brough about in the new exam pattern and start their preparations accordingly.

Changes in SSC GD 2022-23 Exam Pattern with reference to the old Exam Pattern
Earlier in 2021 and before it, all the 4 sections of the exam tested candidates’ skills with 25 Questions of 25 Marks (1 question carried 1 mark) with a total time of 90 Minutes.

SSC GD New Exam Pattern 2022
SSC GD exam pattern has been revised for the Computer-Based Exam (CBE). The Commission reduced the number of questions, the time allotted to the paper and changed the marks assigned to each question. The SSC GD exam pattern 2022 for CBE is summarised as below:

Note:
- The computer-based exam will consist of four different subjects. (General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/Hindi)
- Each question will carry +2 mark. And there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.
- The exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.
- The candidates who clear this stage will be selected for the PMT PST.

SSC GD Exam Pattern 2022 for PET & PST
Candidates are shortlisted for PET/PST by SSC on the basis of their performance in CBT. In PET/ PST, candidates’ height will be assessed will be height. Those who will qualify it will have to undergo PET (race) followed by biometric/technology-aided identification test.

Q1: SSC GD exam has how many stages?
A: SSC GD exam is conducted in three stages. They are CBE, PET/PST and DME/RME.
Q2: Is there a negative marking in the SSC GD exam?
A: SSC has changed the exam pattern of the CBE. Now each question has the maximum marks of 2 and as a result there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each of the wrong answer.
