SSC CPO 2023 Notification: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official notification for the Central Police Organization (CPO) recruitment exam 2023. The SSC CPO exam is conducted to recruit candidates for the posts of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) in CISF. The SSC CPO 2023 notification contains important details such as eligibility criteria, exam pattern, syllabus, selection process, application fee and how to apply online. The candidates who wish to apply for the SSC CPO 2023 exam must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
The minimum age limit is 20 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on January 1, 2023. However, there are certain age relaxations for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the government rules.
The candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent as on January 1, 2023. For the post of SI in Delhi Police, male candidates must have a valid driving license for LMV (motorcycle and car) as on the date of physical endurance and measurement test.
– Physical Standards: The candidates must meet the physical standards prescribed by the SSC for the posts of SI and ASI. The physical standards include height, chest, weight and eyesight requirements. The candidates will also have to undergo a physical endurance and measurement test (PE&MT) which will consist of various physical activities such as running, jumping, shot put etc.
The SSC CPO 2023 exam will consist of two stages: Paper-I and Paper-II. Both papers will be objective type and computer-based. The details of the exam pattern are given below:
It will have four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each section will have 50 questions and each question will carry one mark. The total duration of the paper will be two hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

The syllabus for the SSC CPO 2023 exam is based on the topics covered in the paper-I and paper-II. The candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for the detailed syllabus of each section. However, some of the important topics are given below:
Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding etc.
Current events, history, geography, culture, economy, general polity, Indian Constitution etc.
Number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion etc.
Error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition etc.), vocabulary, spellings etc.
The selection process for the SSC CPO 2023 exam will involve four stages: Paper-I, PE&MT, Paper-II and Medical Examination. The candidates who qualify in paper-I will be eligible for PE&MT. The candidates who qualify in PE&MT will be eligible for paper-II. The candidates who qualify in paper-II will be eligible for medical examination. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in paper-I and paper-II.
The application fee for the SSC CPO 2023 exam is Rs. 100/- for general and OBC candidates. The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, net banking or by using credit/debit cards or in cash at SBI branches by generating SBI challan. The fee is exempted for women candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Ex-servicemen categories.
The candidates who are interested and eligible for the SSC CPO 2023 exam can apply online through the official website of SSC (https://ssc.nic.in/) from December 1st , 2022 to December 31st , 2022. The candidates will have to register themselves by providing basic details such as name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc. The candidates will then have to fill the online application form by providing personal, educational and other details. The candidates will also have to upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as per the specifications given by the SSC. The candidates will then have to pay the application fee and submit the application form. The candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form and fee receipt for future reference.
The last date for SSC CPO Application Form 2023 is August 15, 2023.
