THE SSC CHSL exam is a coveted exam for clerical posts. The official SSC CHSL exam date is 2nd to 22nd August 2023. The competition is fierce and rising. The SSC CHSL exam has two tiers. You need to clear both to get a government job. Tier 1 is an objective MCQ paper. Tier 2 is also a computer-based exam.
The SSC CHSL Tier 1 is the first hurdle where you have to answer 100 questions against lakhs of rivals. The Latest SSC CHSL Syllabus says you will get 100 questions from 4 subjects: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension in 60 minutes. SSC CHSL exam aspirants must note that the SSC CHSL Exam pattern 2023 for the Tier 2 exam has changed. The Staff Selection Commission has made big changes in the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam pattern. Before, the Tier 2 exam was descriptive and there was a Tier 3 exam. But as per the SSC CHSL 2023 Notification, there are only Two Tiers now i.e. Tier 1 & Tier 2. Fundamental arithmetical operations: Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest (Simple and Compound), Profit and Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Time and distance, Time and Work.
Algebra: Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds (simple problems) and Graphs of Linear Equations.
Geometry: Familiarity with elementary geometric figures and facts. Triangle and its various kinds of centers, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, and common tangents to two or more circles.
Mensuration: Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square Base.
Trigonometry: Trigonometry, Trigonometric ratios, Complementary angles, Height and distances (simple problems only) Standard Identities like sin2𝜃 + Cos2𝜃=1, etc.

Working with the Internet and e-mails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an E-mail Account, e-Banking.
Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans, etc.), and preventive measures.
Candidates must type 8,000 Key Depressions per hour in 15 minutes on an English document with 2000-2200 strokes/key depressions.
Only Data Entry Operators take the Skill Test. Other posts i.e. LDC/ JSA take the Typing Test.
