Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will be declaring the result of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier 1 examination on its official website. The candidates who appeared for the exam can check their scores and qualifying status by visiting ssc.nic.in. SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam was conducted in the month of August, 2023, in computer-based mode across various centres in the country.
SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam is a screening test for the recruitment of Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Postal Assistant (PA), Sorting Assistant (SA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) posts in various ministries and departments of the central government. The exam consists of four sections: English language, general intelligence, quantitative aptitude and general awareness. Each section has 25 questions carrying two marks each. There is a negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong answer.
SSC CHSL Tier 1 result is based on the marks obtained by the candidates in each section and the overall cut-off marks decided by the commission. The cut-off marks vary according to the category and post applied by the candidates. The commission will also be releasing the category-wise and post-wise cut-off marks along with the result on its website. The candidates who will qualify in SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam will be eligible to appear for the Tier 2 exam, which is a descriptive paper of 100 marks. The Tier 2 exam will be held on November 2, 2023.

SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held on November 2, 2023. The exam will be a descriptive paper of 100 marks, which will test the writing skills of the candidates in English or Hindi. The candidates will have to write an essay of 200-250 words and a letter or application of 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks for the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam are 33%. The candidates who qualify for the SSC CHSL Tier 2 exam will be called for the skill test or typing test, which will be of qualifying nature. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by the candidates in Tier 1 and Tier 2 exams.
