SSC CGL Tier 1 results will be released shortly. To brief you on this exam, Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination every year to recruit candidates for various posts in the central government departments and ministries. The SSC CGL exam consists of four tiers: Tier 1 (preliminary), Tier 2 (mains), Tier 3 (descriptive) and Tier 4 (skill test).
SSC CGL Tier 1 exam was held from July 14 to 27, 2023 in online mode across the country. A total of 25.6 lakh candidates had registered for the exam, out of which 18.9 lakh appeared. SSC CGL Tier 1 exam had 100 questions of two marks each, divided into four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. The total duration of the exam was one hour.
Once SSC CGL Tier 1 results will be announced, we will update it here. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and password. SSC CGL Tier 1 results show the marks obtained by the candidates in each section and their overall score. SSC CGL Tier 1 results also show cut-off marks for each category and post. Cut-off marks are the minimum marks required to qualify for the next stage of the exam.
SSC CGL Tier 1 cut-off marks vary according to the post applied for and the category of the candidates. Cut-off marks are determined by SSC based on various factors such as the number of vacancies, the number of candidates, the difficulty level of the exam and the normalization process. The normalization process is used to adjust the scores of the candidates who appeared in different shifts of the exam.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Result 2023 will show your marks, rank and qualifying status for the next stage of the exam, which is Tier 2. The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam is scheduled to be held from October 25-27, 2023. The candidates who qualify in Tier 2 will have to appear for Tier 3 and Tier 4 exams, which are descriptive paper and skill test respectively. The final selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in all the four tiers of the exam.
