Shyam Pachauri’s Success Story
I started my preparation from 2019 by enrolling in a coaching institute which was in my hometown ,after taking 3 months classes I gave my life’s first bank exam that was SBI clerk 2019 in which I scored 89.75 marks but could not clear mains exam as I couldn’t prepare myself for mains as I didn’t know much about mains exam that time . After SBI clerk I gave EPFO assistant , RRB clerk and RRB PO but couldn’t clear any of them .
After facing so many failures I changed my strategy and started to focus equally on every section due to which I was able to clear IBPS PO and IBPS clerk pre exam but I failed in IBPS PO mains and and I got placed in reserve list of IBPS clerk 9. As the 2019 year ended I decided to come back strongly in 2020 and I thought to stick to my bank exams due to which I couldn’t go for my post graduation .I gave SBI JA 2020 pre in which I scored 91 marks but due to corona all exams were postponed and SBI JA result came in October before which I had joined UP POLICE due to which I couldn’t give mains of SBI JA .

But before joining police I gave RRB PO pre exam in September and luckily I scored very good marks(68.5) in that , but being on police training I didn’t get enough time to prepare for mains examination however I managed to study on training as well and I gave my RRB PO mains exam while being on training ,with god’s grace I cleared mains exam as well and now I was one step away from my dream job for which I prepared for years.
After clearing mains examination I started to prepare for interview and on 27th Feb 2021 I gave my interview in Lucknow and it was damn good and on 11th March 2021 all the hard work of years paid off and I got selected in ARYAVARAT BANK .

Section-wise Preparation Strategy
English Section Preparation Strategy
Being from the CBSE background English section was good but to tackle the level of English asked in exam I relied solely on practicemock mocks as PM mocks provided exam level RC and other questions . Due to PM mocks only I was able to score 31 in English section in IBPS PO 2019 MAINS exam The level of questions in PM mocks is amazing and same as of real exam.
Quantitative Aptitude Section Preparation Strategy
To make my quant section strong I learned cubes upto 25 and square roots upto 50 which helped in increasing my speed and accuracy .For mains level maths I gave more than 40+ PM mocks including of po and clerk which helped me in increasing my mains score .

Reasoning Section Preparation Strategy
This is my favourite section and I never had any problem in this .I scored 41 marks out of 50 in RRB PO mains . If you want to master this section you need to practice a lot .there is no substitute for practice in reasoning section, the more you practice the more you master it.
General Awareness Section Preparation Strategy
My favourite quote about GA is ” Either it can break your paper or make your paper ” so you do not need to take this section lightly ,it is as important as other sections. Though this is not my strong area, however I managed to score good. I followed affairs cloud weekly and monthly PDFs and practicemock 500 questions.
Overall Strategy, Study Schedule & Challenges Faced
After filling RRB PO and RRB CLERK I became very serious and started to study for more than 15 hours ,I used to give each section equal time and used to work on my weak areas. I bought PM subscription and daily gave mocks of both pre and mains and analyzed them which helped me in increasing my score .I gave 60+ mocks of pre exam of PracticeMock and only because of that I scored 68.5 in RRB PO pre and 78.75 in RRB CLERK pre . After clearing pre exams I just gave mains exam mocks of PM which helped me sail through this success journey . I would like to thank PM for helping me in getting my dream job.
Yes , everyone faces hurdles in his journey . Being a elder son I had to help my father in field as well as in family work . However I managed to handle all this by giving equal importance to my preparation and my family responsibilities.
