Note:
Mock Tests are the best tool for your preparation right away. While revision & practice of different topics is important, taking SBI Clerk Prelims Mock Tests is equally important. Taking Mock Tests in a controlled environment will increase your confidence and will make you a bit comfortable when facing the actual exam. The analysis which you immediately get also highlights your weak areas so that you can specifically focus on them while doing your SBI Clerk Prelims Revision. After all, you wouldn’t like to take a chance with your preparation at this point in time.
Remember, there is no alternative to practice. Your practice, along with a constant review of your performance will help you immensely in your preparation. Let’s have a look at the Revision Plan for different sections:
Topics which should be compulsorily revised & practised are:
Revise all the important grammar rules. If you have been reading newspapers on a daily basis, continue that practice. If you are not reading newspapers, you can have a glance of our vocabulary articles where we provide the contextual meanings of difficult words of an editorial. Revising these difficult words in the last 1 month may also help. If you have prepared flash cards to augment your word power, it’s good time to start revising them too. Make it a point to practice a couple of topics on a daily basis (apart from solving Mock Tests on a time to time basis).
The topics in the reasoning section you must not miss to revise are:
Revise all the important shortcuts which you have practiced until now. Don’t attempt to learn any new shortcut now. Also, it would be helpful if you categorize the topics into easy, moderate and difficult categories. When attempting Mock Tests, try garnering as many marks as possible by solving the easy & moderate categories first. Touch the difficult categories later. Try this strategy in different Mock Tests. This will put you at ease in the actual exam. Ensure that you practice a topic on a daily basis.
In the Quants section, you must revise the below topics:
At this point, it is extremely important to revise the important formulae. Similarly, if you have doubt in any shortcut, get it clarified. Don’t keep anything for the eleventh hour. Incorrect formulae and shortcuts can do much damage to your score. Also, ensure that you practice 2-3 topics on a daily basis. Make it a point to review the questions you answered incorrectly and refer to the detailed solutions so that you don’t make the same mistake in the actual exam. Keep practising Mock Tests as well.
Dedicate a time slot to revise the current affairs (especially finance related news) of the past 6 months. Revise Static GK as well. Make a note of the general awareness questions when solving Mock Tests and revise them on a regular basis. This should be done especially for those questions which you couldn’t attempt/ attempted incorrectly.
You might be wondering why we are suggesting you to get started with your preparation for GA when it’s not there in the Prelims exam. The reason is the syllabus of GA is so vast that once the Prelims exam gets over, you will not get sufficient time to prepare for this section. This is the reason why you should start its preparation immediately.
All in all, practice is the key while doing SBI Clerk Prelims Revision. And at the same time keep reviewing your performance by taking Mock Tests on a timely basis.
