The SBI Clerk selection process 2024 comprises three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Local Language Test. The Preliminary Exam is a qualifying round consisting of three sections: English Language, Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, conducted in a total of 100 marks and 60 minutes. Candidates who clear this stage move on to the Main Exam, which consists of General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, carrying a total of 200 marks in 2 hours and 40 minutes. The final selection is based on the Main Exam scores, subject to document verification and meeting the eligibility criteria.
The Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Note- Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual tests OR for aggregate scores. Section-wise marks will not be maintained.

The SBI Clerk 2024 age limit is not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2024, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1996 and not later than 01.04.2004 (both days inclusive).
There is some age relaxation for candidates according to category. This age relaxation is the criteria that allow the candidates to appear in the exam up to some age criteria. The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2024.
Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2024.
SBI provides a handsome and lucrative salary to its employees. The revised SBI Clerk Pay Scale is Rs.17900-1000/3-20900-1230/3-24590-1490/4-30550-1730/7-42600-3270/1-45930-1990/1-47920. The initial salary package of an SBI Clerk in a city like Mumbai has been revised to Rs 29000/- per month which includes the Dearness Allowance (D.A) & other allowances. The starting basic pay has been revised by SBI to Rs 19,900/- (Rs 17,900 with two advance increments admissible to graduates) for Clerk/Junior Associate. Selected candidates will serve 6 months on probation. After that, the performance of the newly recruited employee will be evaluated before the probation period comes to an end. If his/her performance does not meet the expectations, the probation period may be extended.
