SBI Clerk Notification 2024 Age Limit (As on 01.04.2024)

The SBI Clerk 2024 age limit is not below 20 years and not above 28 years as on 01.04.2024, i.e. candidates must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1996 and not later than 01.04.2004 (both days inclusive).

SBI Clerk Notification 2024 Education Qualification (As on 31.12.2024)

The candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or any equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificates should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2024. 

Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2024.

SBI Clerk Selection Process 2024

The SBI Clerk selection process 2024 comprises three stages: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and Local Language Test. The Preliminary Exam is a qualifying round consisting of three sections: English Language, Numerical Aptitude and Reasoning Ability, conducted in a total of 100 marks and 60 minutes. Candidates who clear this stage move on to the Main Exam, which consists of General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, carrying a total of 200 marks in 2 hours and 40 minutes. The final selection is based on the Main Exam scores, subject to document verification and meeting the eligibility criteria.

SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024 for Prelims 

Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Note- Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of the mark assigned for the question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual tests OR for aggregate scores. Section-wise marks will not be maintained.

SBI Clerk 2024 Salary

SBI provides a handsome and lucrative salary to its employees. The revised SBI Clerk Pay Scale is Rs. 24050-1340/3-28070-1650/3-33020-2000/4-41020- 2340/7-57400-4400/1-61800-2680/1-64480. The initial salary package of an SBI Clerk in a city like Mumbai has been revised to Rs 46,000/- per month which includes the Dearness Allowance (D.A) & other allowances. The starting basic pay has been revised by SBI to Rs 19,900/- (Rs 17,900 with two advance increments admissible to graduates) for Clerk/Junior Associate. Selected candidates will serve 6 months on probation. After that, the performance of the newly recruited employee will be evaluated before the probation period comes to an end. If his/her performance does not meet the expectations, the probation period may be extended.

SBI Clerk 2024 Probation Period

Selected candidates will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Service Regulations of the Bank in force at the time of joining. The newly appointed Junior Associates will be on probation for a Minimum period of 6 months. Newly recruited Junior Associates will be required to complete e-lessons as prescribed by the bank during the probation, to get confirmed in the Bank, failing which their probation will be extended till completion of the same.

Further, before the probation period comes to an end, the performance of the newly recruited employees will be evaluated and the probation period of those employees whose performance fails to meet the Bank’s expectations, may be extended. 9. PRE-EXAMINATION TRAINING: The Bank will arrange pre-examination training for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/PwBD category candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by the Government of India.

Pre-examination training will be conducted online. All eligible Candidates who opt for and wish to avail of Pre-Examination Training should fill in the relevant column in the online application. Candidates opting for PreExamination Training should login for training from Bank’s website by entering their registration number and date of birth. Intimation regarding schedule of Pre Examination Training will be shared with the candidates through their registered email and SMS. No hard copies will be sent.
