SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2024

The SBI Clerk 2024 Exam is conducted in two phases:

  1. SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam:
    • Duration: 60 minutes
    • Sections:
      • English Language (30 questions, 30 marks)
      • Numerical Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
      • Reasoning Ability (35 questions, 35 marks)
    • Total: 100 questions, 100 marks
    • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
  2. SBI Clerk Mains Exam:
    • Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
    • Sections:
      • General/Financial Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks)
      • General English (40 questions, 40 marks)
      • Quantitative Aptitude (50 questions, 50 marks)
      • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude (50 questions, 60 marks)
    • Total: 190 questions, 200 marks
    • Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

There is no interview for the clerk position, and the final selection is based on the marks scored in the Main exam.

  • The SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam is the first stage of the selection process.
  • It is an online, multiple-choice question (MCQ) test.
  • The paper is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.
  • Each section has a fixed time limit, and the entire paper lasts for one hour.
  • The total marks for the preliminary exam are 100, with 1 mark awarded for each correct answer and a penalty of 1/4th of the mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
