SBI Clerk Time Management for English Language Section

As far as English section is concerned there are a total of 30 questions worth 30 marks and the time duration is 20 minutes. One must try and attempt more than 20 questions for this section. Below mentioned are the list of topics that may be asked in the exam:

  • Error detection
  • Para Jumbles
  • Cloze Test
  • Reading Comprehension
  • Filler
  • Phrase Replacement
  • Sentence correction

You can assign the time frames to each of these topics yourself depending upon your preparation levels and strong and weak areas.

General English Strategy

  • Avoid starting with lengthy topics first.
  • Attempt cloze test, fillers and error-based questions first

SBI Clerk Time Management for Numerical Ability Section

As far as numerical ability is concerned, it is a calculative but a scoring section. 35 questions are to be done in a time frame of 20 minutes. Mentioned below are few important topics from which questions may be asked from the section:

  • Quadratic equation
  • Data interpretation
  • Miscellaneous
  • Simplification
  • Approximation
  • Number Series

Also, few questions will be asked from the Arithmetic section. Moreover, aspirants must know short tricks to calculate and solve the questions quickly.

General Numerical Ability Strategy

  • Simplification, Approximation and Data Interpretation are the topics which take less time.
  • Practice quant questions well by knowing the short cut tricks.
  • In DI try and analyze the answers using graphs and apply option elimination way to figure out the answer.
  • Don’t waste much time in analyzing the pattern of the questions specifically in Number series and Quadratic equations.
  • Try and attempt maximum questions maintaining the accuracy.
  • Practice quant sectional tests and quizzes in order to score well.

SBI Clerk Time Management for Reasoning Section

It is a tricky section that requires lot of practice. The important topics which fall under this section are:

  • Inequality
  • Syllogism
  • Coding-Decoding
  • Numeric, Alphanumeric Series etc..
  • Blood relation
  • Order & Ranking
  • Direction sense
  • Seating arrangement and puzzles

General Reasoning Strategy

  • Practice as many questions as possible of each topic as this will help you solve questions in the real exam quickly.
  • Start with the topics like blood relation, inequality, series as these are less time consuming.
  • After these try and go for coding-decoding and puzzles. Don’t waste much time on it if you are not able to figure out the answer.
  • Get good command over puzzles and this can be done by practicing more and more such questions.
  • Try and attempt more than 23 questions in reasoning section.
  • Attempt reasoning quizzes and mock tests on a regular basis.
