Roles & Responsibilities of RRB Clerk

  • Helping consumers deposit and withdraw cash.
  • Opening and closing the account, check verification, Demand Draft, generating receipts and all such responsibilities are handled by the Clerk.

  • Participating in the marketing of financial products of the bank such as informing the consumer about loans, mutual funds, deposits, and several schemes.

The basic Salary of the RRB Clerk is Rs 15000-19000. Apart from that, rules for Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Special Allowances go as:

Dearness Allowance (DA)46.5% of the basic pay.
House Rent Allowance (HRA)For Rural Areas: 5% of the basic salary
For Semi-urban Areas: 7.5% of the basic pay
For Urban Areas: 10% of the basic pay
