RSMSSB (Rajasthan Subordinate Ministerial Services Selection Board) conducts state-level examinations in Rajasthan. The tentative exam date is out for JE is in January 2024 for the 2023s recruitment cycle.
The selection procedure of RSMSSB JE comprises two stages: Preliminary Examination which is followed by Document Verification of selected candidates and prepare the final merit list. The preliminary exam is an objective-based test comprising questions about general knowledge and engineering branch.

RSMSSB JE Selection Process
Candidates who want to secure Junior Engineers job need to qualify for prelims and then document verification. Objective-type questions are asked in the preliminary examination. Candidates have to secure 40% marks to qualify for prelims to become eligible for document verification. The final result of selected candidates will be announced on RSMSSB’s official website.

RSMSSB Junior Engineer 2023: Written Exam Structure
- The first stage of the selection is an objective-based preliminary examination. It is divided into parts: Part A and Part B.
- Total No. of Questions: 120 Questions of 120 Marks.
- Duration of JE Preliminary Exam: 2 Hours
- Part A: Questions based on General Knowledge of Rajasthan (40 Questions of 1 Mark Each).
- Part B: General Engineering Questions (80 Questions of 1 Mark Each).
- Negative Marking is of ⅓ mark for every wrong answer.

RSMSSB JE: Document Verification Process
Candidates who qualify for the 40% cut-off score in the prelims examination are eligible for document verification. The board will update regarding the date, day, time, venue, and documents required on its official website. Candidates need to carry their original documents with self-attested copies with them.
List of Documents Required in the Selection Process
- Class 10th certificate as proof of Date of Birth.
- The candidate’s mother’s and father’s names are verified from the class 10th certificate.
- Submit the Class 12th high secondary certificate for document verification.
- Engineering Degree/Diploma certificates are to be submitted along with semester-wise marksheets.
- SC/ST certificate is to be prepared as per Annexure I format.
- OBC certificate is to be according to Annexure II A format.
- The income certificate is for the economically weak section for a fee waiver as per Annexure III.
- Self Certification is required for transgender candidates.
- Minority Community Declaration is on the Non-Judicial Stamp as per Annexure IV.
- Candidate should present legal documents or gazette declaration for any formal change of name.
- The Original Discharge Certificate from the former company is for ex-servicemen.
- Submit the receipt for payment of fees.

It is expected that RSMSSB will release its official notification of JE recruitment on its website by September 2024.
