IBPS RRB Preparation Tips for Prelims Quantitative Aptitude/Numerical Ability
Many students get confused about making a perfect approach for the Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude section for the RRB PO Exam. We know that the QA section invites tricky questions, but if you can practice properly and avoid a few things in the Exam, you will certainly fetch maximum marks.
QA has important topics that can help you in maximizing your score with less effort and time. You will have to prioritize those important topics and then move on to other topics only after developing command over them.
Here are the Dos and Don’ts you need to keep in mind to enjoy better results:
Spend more time on Number Series: Questions on Number Series are easy, and you should not take more than a few seconds to solve them. And for that you must practice previous year’s questions and attempt as many Mock Tests as possible.
Don’t skip the topics you are weak in: You need to be equally good in all the topics of this section. Leaving out topics you are bad or slow in is a bad idea. Allot proper time and energy to topics you are weak as well, as you can never be sure from which portions of the section questions can be asked.
Improve your accuracy in Simplification & Approximation: Simplification & Approximation is all about how quickly you can solve with accuracy. To come out brilliantly in it, you must buckle up to practice a lot and keep checking your speed and accuracy every day and note down all the significant improvements for a confident performance in the actual RRB PO exam 2021.
Revise the basic concepts of Data Interpretation: Questions on Data Interpretation can be easy and moderate in difficulty. To solve all the questions in quick time in the Exam, you need to revise all the related basic concepts.
Don’t guess: Most of the candidates get tempted to mark the answer to every question in the RRB PO Exam, even if they are not sure of the right answer. So, avoid guessing answers.

Don’t just memorize the concepts: Practice questions on the circular and linear seating arrangement, Puzzles, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relation, Distance & Direction, Ranking and Queue. Around 5 to 6 Direct questions are usually asked from Syllogism. Understand all the concepts needed to solve the questions and practice them properly to ingrain the concepts in your mind.
