IBPS RRB PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates should carefully analyze the RRB PO exam pattern and syllabus to start preparations accordingly. Two sections in RRB PO prelim exam are  Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The exam duration is 45 mins to attempt 80 marks questions.

Begin your Numerical Ability preparations covering simple topics like simplification, quadratic equations, and series. You can easily score 10 marks from these simple themes. 

Practice DI questions daily

To score 40/40 in Numerical Ability, consider DI as a crucial topic to cover in your preparations. You can expect 2-3 questions of 10-15 marks are asked in prelims. Give two days time to understand graphs and practice DI questions to become a pro at interpreting and analyzing graphs and charts. 

Clarify your conceptual knowledge

Clarify your fundamental knowledge of all topics covered so that, you can score full marks in the Numerical Ability section. Practice questions as much as possible to retrieve the formulas and short tricks in your brain to solve questions in less time. The prelims exam comes with a time barrier of 45 mins to solve 80 questions about Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Ability. 

Focus on Data Sufficiency

Data Sufficiency is a relatively easy topic to cover as it doesn’t require any computations. You should have the knowledge and understanding to analyze the data available and answer questions accordingly. 

Arithmetic is a “Deal Maker” topic

Arithmetic is the simplest topic to cover while studying for Numerical Ability. Around 5 to 7 questions are asked from Arithmetic topics in RRB PO preliminary examination. Solve questions covering percentage, age, profit & loss, time and work to increase correct attempts number in exam.
