The computer-based test 1 (CBT 1) is the first stage of the exam pattern in which the RRB asks 100 questions for 100 marks. A total of 90 minutes will be provided to attempt the CBT 1 exam. The RRB NTPC CBT 2 is the second stage of the RRB NTPC exam pattern. In this stage of the exam, the RRB asks for a total of 120 minutes for 120 marks that candidates are required to attempt in 90 minutes. The RRB NTPC CBAT (Computer-Based Aptitude Test) will be conducted only for candidates who have opted for Station Master. To qualify for the test, candidates are required to secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks in each of the tests. This applies to all candidates irrespective of community or category and no relaxation in the minimum T- Score is permissible. Candidates who are eligible for this post are informed that there is no negative marking for this exam.

A Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) will be conducted after qualifying for the 2nd Stage CBT (Only for candidates who have opted for (Account Clerk Cum Typist & Junior Clerk Cum Typist). The use of editing tools and spell-check features is not allowed. It is qualifying in nature.

The RRB will call candidates for document verification based on their performance in the examination equal to the number of vacancies available. If two or more candidates score the same marks then candidates will be chosen based on their age (older candidates will be given priority) and name order (If age is the same, alphabetical order (A-Z) of the candidates’ names will be used to break the tie).
