Speed and Accuracy
To solve 120 questions in 90 minutes, one must have a good speed. Also with good speed, candidates should have accuracy too as there is a negative marking of 1/3 Marks. In an exam like RRB NTPC where competition is so fierce, the last thing anyone wants to do is losing the marks because of negative marking. Here are a few tips that can be practised by aspirants
- Candidates should always make notes of some quick tricks and methods for sections like quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning, which can be a little calculative and time-consuming. For instance Learning tables, squares, and cubes of numbers would save a lot of time.
- Recognize your strong and weak points. Aspirants should work on the topics that are difficult for them but at the same time do not take the strong areas fr granted. Give a considerable amount of time for practicing the topics that are easier for students.
- While solving the mock tests learn to manage the time effectively. Always set aside 5 to 10 minutes to look over the questions again to see if any have gone unanswered. Take two to three minutes to read the question paper before starting to solve it. Spend no more than 30 to 40 seconds on any question, especially those in the quantitative or reasoning areas.
