The reasoning section is one of the most important sections of the RBI Grade B Phase 1 exam. This section contains 60 questions and it is one of the most scoring sections in the exam. If you’ll prepare this section, you can score 50+ marks in it. All you need to do is attempt the questions with good accuracy. The level of this section is expected to be of moderate difficulty. The Grade B Officer written exam is conducted in two phases and the syllabus for both is set by the Reserve Bank of India. The RBI Grade B syllabus for Phase-I comprises 4 sections: Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, and English language. Phase II exam includes three sections: economic and social sciences, English, and Finance and Management.

NOTE: There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by you. For every wrong answer marked by you, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. Candidates who secure minimum marks separately for each Test will be shortlisted for Phase II of the Examination based on the aggregate marks obtained in Phase-I.

The reasoning section tests a candidate’s analytical and logical reasoning skills i.e. the ability to interpret data and information given in the form of puzzles, brainteasers, or clues and sort it to arrive at a meaningful outcome. It does not test conceptual or theoretical knowledge (apart from one or two areas) but requires a lot of practice with different question types.
