You cannot memorize all the updates on all the day-to-day important events of the last 6-7 months in just a day or two. So, General Knowledge requires reading the newspaper every day and staying up to date with the daily news. Especially, you need to be well aware of the news & current happenings of the last 6 months. Don’t forget that in the 2019 Exam, most questions on Economic & Social Issues (ESI) & Finance Management (FM) were based on current affairs. So, take help from the best books and sources to cover all the topics from the GA syllabus, and take as many Mock Tests as you can to test your knowledge and make quick improvements in your preparation for better and better performance with each passing day.
Here are the 4 Effective resources that you can get access to for free Preparation:
(i) Solve practice paper sets with a stopwatch and then analyze your performance and scores.
(ii) Mock Tests are the best tools to check your performance. Try to solve at least 2 or 3 RBI Grade B Phase 1 Mock Tests daily as it will help you find any difficult areas in the test papers that you have covered and need revision.
(iii) Brush up on Current Affairs. If you have limited time, start with current affairs when you are done with at least 50% of your syllabus. Do not begin your preparation with the current affair.
(iv) Revise the topics covered either daily or weekly. Job goers can follow a weekly revision schedule, whereas the students can follow a daily revision schedule.
(v) Current affairs magazines are more helpful before the interview. Argumentation and opinions help in the interview stage more. You can rely on monthly magazines for Phase 1 and Phase 2.
