1.How to prepare for RBI Grade B 2022 General Awareness Section?

General Knowledge section is different from Quant or Reasoning sections where you require short tricks and formulas to solve the questions. In it, you need to be well aware of the news & current happenings which occurred in the last 6 months. This section is one of the scoring sections of the RBI Grade B exam. This section comes with a total of 80 questions. It has more weightage the other 3 sections. Therefore, you need to cover all the important Banking and Financial Awareness news of the last 6 months to master this section.

Strategy – Read every day current affairs, Banking & Financial Awareness news. Cover all sports news and all the important news related to the appointments, resignations, ministries, etc.

2. How to prepare for RBI Grade B 2023 English Language Section?

This section will test your skills with 30 questions, and for many candidates from Hindi medium backgrounds, it can be the toughest sections of the exam. If you have good command over the basics of English or Grammar and have practiced well, then you can easily score 15 to 18 questions in this section. The difficulty level of this section is moderate. The questions in this section can be asked from the following topics:

(i) Reading Comprehension – 10 Questions (Lengthy) will be based on Economy 

(ii) Cloze Test  – 10 Questions (Moderate) 

(iii) Para jumbles (7 statements)– 5 Questions (Moderate)

(iv) Spotting Error – 5 Questions  (Moderate) 

Best strategy to score maximum marks in this section?

  • Pay attention to Grammar Rules, and practice questions on Sentence Improvements, and Comprehension daily.
  • Students from Hindi medium backgrounds, or those who are weak in English must attempt the previous year’s questions of various Banking exams.
  • Be prepared to attempt Reading Comprehension questions in the exam. Practice one RC on a daily basis. One RC is expected to come in the Exam with 8 to 10 Questions. Therefore, if you can attempt 3 to 4 questions in RC, your chances of clearing the sectional cutoff will be more.
  • Read at least one Editorial of the Newspaper a day.
  • Practice 4-5 sets of Fill in the Blanks (Double Spacing), Sentence Correction, and Sentence Improvement.
  • Read books like Wren & Martin and S.P. Bakshi (Arihant) to revise or improve your English grammar par.

3. How to prepare for RBI Grade B 2023 Reasoning Ability Section?

This section will have 60 questions and can be the one of the trickiest or most scoring sections in this exam. With regular Mock Tests practice you can score 30+ questions in just 35 minutes in it. The difficulty level of this section is expected to be of moderate difficulty. The reasoning section tests your analytical and logical reasoning skills. For instance, your ability to interpret data and information given in the form of puzzles, brainteasers, or clues and sort it to arrive at a meaningful outcome. It does not test conceptual or theoretical knowledge (apart from one or two areas) but requires a lot of practice with different question types.

Here are the important topics that you need to master to score maximum marks in this section:

(i) Syllogism (Moderate)

(ii) Seating Arrangement (Circular) (Inward Outward) Blood Relation based – (Tough) 

(iii) Linear Arrangement – (Moderate) 

(iv) Puzzle – (Tough) 

(v) Input-Output – (Tough)

(vi) Logical / Analytical Reasoning –  (Tough) 

(vii) Data Sufficiency  –  (Moderate) mostly on seating arrangement 

(viii) Inequality – (Moderate) 

(ix) Coding-Decoding –  (Moderate)

(x) Miscellaneous Questions – (Moderate)

Note: Be ready to face at least 4 questions come from each of these topics mentioned above.

4. How to Prepare for RBI Grade B 2023 Quantitative Aptitude Section?

This section comes with 30 questions. Many students consider it to be one of the toughest sections in the Grade B exam. Your speed and accuracy matter a lot in this section. You need to be 100% accurate while answering the questions. If you are weak or average in Maths then you must invest maximum time in the Quants section so that you can attempt maximum questions and try your best to clear the sectional cutoff. Try to invest 30 minutes in this section and attempt 14-16 questions with accuracy.

The Quant section is more oriented towards data interpretation rather than conventional profit-loss type stuff. Go through the old papers for banking exams and prepare topics accordingly.

The level of this section will be moderate to tough. The questions in this section can be asked from different topics which are mentioned below

(i)  Number Series – (Moderate to Tough)

(ii)  Data Interpretation – includes – Missing DI, Pie Chart, Caselet DI, Mix DI – (Tough)

(iii) Quadratic Equation – (Moderate to Tough)

(iv)  Miscellaneous Questions –  (Tough)

Miscellaneous Questions consist of questions from different topics such as – Profit loss, Average, SI & CI, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Work, Time, Speed & Distance, Boats & Streams, etc.

How to clear RBI Grade B Phase 1 2023 Exam in first attempt?

It is important to master each section to clear the cut off. And for this you need to try to solve practice paper sets and Mock Tests with a stopwatch and then analyze your performance and scores.
