  1. RBI Assistant prelims have negative marking for wrong answers, for every incorrect answer about 0.25 marks to be deducted from the final score.
  2. RBI Assistant is a qualifying exam, after qualifying this exam only, the candidate will be allowed to sit for the mains exam.
  3. RBI Assistant Prelims exam is bilingual that available in both the English and Hindi languages, except for the English section.

Note: Important Points

  1. There will be 200 questions from 5 sections; English language, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Reasoning Ability
  2. The time duration of RBI Assistant Mains Exam is 135 minutes. Section-wise timing has been mentioned below.
  3. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer, no deduction for unanswerd questions.
  4. The questions will be of Objective type
  5. Except English Language, other sections will be in English and Hindi language.
  6. Candidates qualifying Mains Exam will be called for Language Proficiency Test and marks will be counted in preparing merit list.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT) 2021

The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main online examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below. Candidate who are not proficient in the official/ Local Language will be disqualified.

Only such number of candidates will be called for the Language Proficiency Test who stand sufficiently high in merit based on the aggregate marks of the main on-line examination, Such merit will be decided by the Bank in relation to the number of notified vacancies to be filled in.

  1. The candidates will be selected for RBI Assistant mains exam in the ratio of 1:10 based on performance in preliminary exam.
  2. The duration of the RBI Assistant mains exam is 135 minutes. It is clear that for each section, a fixed timing allotted.
