There are several benefits of RBI Assistant which are mentioned below:
Candidates who are shortlisted will get multiple chances to get promoted to higher level. An officer needs to serve a bond period of 2 years to be eligible for the promotion. To get promoted to the higher scale, there are 2 processes which are provided below.
Normal Process: In this process, a candidate needs to qualify a written test and as per the candidate’s experience he/she will get promoted to a higher level.
Merit-Based process: In this process, candidates have 2 years of service as an RBI Assistant and candidates must have a JAIIB /CAIIB diploma which is conducted by the IIBF every year and candidate must have a graduation degree.

The aspirants who are shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below. If the candidate fails to pass the language proficiency test, then the candidates will be disqualified from the test.
