NIACL AO Career Growth Plan

  • An Officers’ cadre candidate is on regular payrolls of the NIACL and will be on a probationary period of 12 months since joining the duty.
  • All the AOs will have to serve the Company for a minimum period of four years before joining as a probationer. This is more like an undertaking serve period you are supposed to complete, including the probation period.
  • A non-life Licentiate Examination is to be given by all the candidates, which the Insurance Institute of India conducts. It is only after passing the mentioned examination the AO is eligible for confirmation of their services in the Company. The exam is given during the probationary period.
  • Internal exams, certificate courses, seniority, etc., would strongly determine the AO’s promotion and career growth. You can expect to be upgraded as the scale II officer soon enough once you clear such an internal exam. The general period in the job for becoming a scale-II officer is three years.
  • But otherwise, regular promotions in NIACL need at least five years of work. We can assume it has more to do with seniority.
  • Further from here, you can expect promotions at the interval of every three years. You will have a raise in your perks and basic salary as well.
  • Every five years, the employees of NIACL can expect a wage revision as per the guidelines.
  • As AOs, you should not expect any paid leaves or even unpaid leaves for studies, etc. It is a full-time job and should be treated like one. Everything else you wish to do will have to be done in your personal capacity.

NIACL AO Transfer Policy

Transfers at NIACL happen every 3 to 5 years.
