Your preparation strategy for the different sections?
As I was from an English medium school I never had any issues with English in fact I could easily score 27+ in this section so did not give any importance to it.
For reasoning and quantitative I began with basics. I gave a mock test and then jotted down topics which needed to work upon. Watched videos and focused on clearing concepts first. Then continued with doing mock tests. Simultaneously I would analyse them and work upon my weak topics.
General awareness is still a mystery box to crack but I found out one basic rule that we can never be sure about our preparation in this section. So just keep any two sources and finish them. Better to do up to 3-4 months of current affairs and try to prepare static awareness also related to them.
What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details.
Consistency and low anxiety. We tends to loose our calm when we fail. I qualified for interview of PO in my very first attempt and then I could not even clear prelims of PO the very next year. All because of anxiety. Practice practice and practice is all that can help you in this age. I am a huge fan of PracticeMock and since I have encountered these papers they have been my main sources of sample papers. But I too kept on doing other papers too just to be consistent. While it was easy to prepare when I was at home it was quite tough to prepare along with a job but again consistency brought me to the interview. I was the only person in my group with 2 years of banking experience. So while being on job it wasn’t possible to attempt entire sample paper. As I told I have a stronghold on english and reasoning so I just focused on quant and ga for mains. So in the morning I would read & mug up current affairs and in evening after coming from bank I would practice quant and some questions of reasoning.
Did PracticeMock help you in your success?
Sample papers and the 500 questions pdf was extremely helpful. I must say if I could able to clear my IBPS PO mains ga section is all because of these questions. Many of the question asked were as it is as in the PDF. So precise so effective pdf. I am preferring it again for my rbi assistant mains. And sample paper I only do of practice mock.
