Here are to the point tips to maximize your score in each section of the exam:
In this section, you’ll have to face a total of 40 questions to fetch a maximum of 40 marks. Your exam strategy should be to try to answer 30+ questions in 35 minutes so that you can get sufficient time to finish the rest of the exam. If you haven’t still thought about the exam strategy, try to attempt topics like Inequality, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Direction sense & blood relation, first in this section. Then, only move on to puzzles/seating arrangements or the remaining questions. Attempt as many questions as you can right away, via Nainital Bank PO/Clerk Mock Tests to test your preparation for the exam quickly.
If you want to score maximum marks in Quants, you’ll have to take care of your calculation speed and be at the top of its basics. Quants will test you with 40 questions to be attempted in 35 minutes’ time. Try to attempt at least or around 30 questions in this section. We recommend you to first attempt topics like ‘Number Series, Simplification/ Approximation,’ and then ‘Quadratic Equations,’ and then ‘Interpretation (Ratio and Average based questions).’ After attempting these questions, you can move on to the miscellaneous questions later. Leave the topic if you find it tough. Come back to it later if time allows. You can also follow your own order of attempting different sections if you’re sure you can maximize your score that way. But practice as much as you can. Practice all the important topics and revise shortcut methods like memorizing squares, cubes, and common fractions to decimals to save as much time as you can in the upcoming exam.
Revise grammar rules and vocabulary. Practice as much as you can. Follow the best exam approach, which is also the topper’s approach, in dealing with this section successfully is to first answer easier sections like error spotting, close test, antonyms-synonyms, match the column, and sentence improvement. Then you can go for questions on parajumble and reading comprehension, as these topics require more time than other topics. But if you are confident about answering questions on the first and have prepared fully well for it, apply your own way confidently. But keep time and accuracy in mind. Try to attempt a minimum of 30 questions.
Most candidates invest less time in the preparation GA section as compared to other sections. This is one of the most diverse but scoring sections of the National Bank PO exam. Candidates must give enough time for the preparation of this section. It is essential to cover events of the last 6 months if you want to counter this section successfully. Don’t invest more than 10 minutes in this section.
You can score 30 plus marks in the Computer Knowledge section if you’ll have basic knowledge about Computer Hardware, Computer Software, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Internet Usage, Operating System. Go through previous years’ question papers to know what type of questions are asked in this section. Go through the basic definitions of the terms related to these topics. Don’t invest more than 10 minutes in this section as there wouldn’t be anything to solve and the answers would be completely based on your memory.
