Upcoming Banking & Government Exams: Preparation Strategy

  • Detailed Syllabus: The first step in beginning your preparation for the upcoming bank exams is to read through the complete syllabus. By doing this, you will become familiar with the syllabus and be better able to organize your study time.
  • Study Plan: Make your timetable and study plan after reviewing the detailed syllabus, then start following it. Give each subject an equal amount of time.
  • Reasoning Strategy: Start with the simpler topics for reasoning and work your way up to the more difficult ones. As puzzles will be asked in both the prelims and mains examinations, attempt to solve at least 4-5 problems per day in the beginning. Try to raise the level
  • Quantitative Strategy: The same goes for the quantitative aptitude section: start by brushing up on the simpler concepts first (simplification, number series, percentage, approximation, etc.), then move on to the more challenging ones. Since the DI will be tested in both the mains and the preliminary exams, it is advisable to practice the DI sets every day by raising the difficulty level.
  • English Language: Make it a habit to read the newspaper; at the very least, attempt to read two editorials per day. Write down any new words you come across, along with those that are challenging; this will help you review them before the exam.
  • Current Affairs: Reading the newspaper can give you an advantage in the main examination because current affairs questions will be asked about the last six months. Alternatively, you can read the important current affairs provided on PracticeMock Instagram, which not only includes the headlines that matter but also provides you with static information about the news.
  • Mock Test: After that, start taking the mock exams that are available on our app. These tests were created by our experienced faculty to follow the format of the exam and include extensive explanations. By taking these tests, you will be able to clear up any questions you have and increase your speed and accuracy.
  • Analysis: Analyze the mock test given by you, and rectify your mistakes properly.
  • Previous Year Papers: Practice the questions from last year’s exams to get a sense of the format of the test and the level of difficulty of the questions that will be asked.
