The RRB JE exam is a golden opportunity for engineering graduates and diploma holders to join the prestigious Indian Railways as technical experts. The exam is conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) for various posts such as Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (IT), Depot Materials Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA). The exam is conducted online and has a negative marking of 1/3rd marks for each wrong answer. The technical abilities section carries 100 marks out of 150 and varies according to the post applied for. RRB JE Syllabus

The syllabus of the RRB JE exam covers a broad range of topics from different subjects. The candidates have to be proficient in the fundamentals of mathematics, reasoning, general awareness, general science, computers, environment, physics, chemistry and their respective technical fields. RRB JE Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the RRB JE exam include the following aspects:

  • Age limit: The candidates should be between 18 to 33 years of age as on January 1st, 2023. There is relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved categories as per government norms.
  • Educational Qualification: The candidates should have a diploma or degree in engineering from a recognized institute or university in the relevant discipline. For some posts, a B.Sc degree or PGDCA or BCA or B.Tech degree are also accepted.
  • Medical fitness: The candidates should be medically fit as per the standards prescribed by the RRBs for different posts.
