IBPS PO Salary Structure 2021

The salary structure of the IBPS PO Exam given below will give you an idea of why the Bank PO Exam is among the most sought-after careers in India. IBPS PO Basic Salary Structure 2021

The starting basic pay will be Rs. 23,700. The Increment will be in 4 stages. The Salary after 1st Increment will be Rs. 30560, after 2nd it will be Rs. 32,850 and Rs. 42,020 after 3rd Increment. It will be applicable to Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The officer will also be eligible for D.A, H.R.A/ Lease rental, C.C.A, Medical, and other allowances and perquisites as per rules in force from time to time. In addition, the total compensation per annum on a CTC basis will be a minimum of 8.20 lacs, and a maximum of 13.08 lacs, depending on the place of posting and other related factors.

General Responsibilities of Bank PO (Probationary Officer): 

  • After selection, when in probationary period, you will be required to assist the Clerks and do related work. By it, you’ll get to know and learn all the daily workings of the bank and other technicalities of the banking system.  
  • You will be trained and learn multi-disciplines related to accounting, marketing, finance, investment, and any other relevant department for four years.
  • You will have to look after clerical workings performed by the clerks. You’ll have to play a role of a checker or verifier if a cash transaction is being made by a clerk, to verify it. You will have to issue ATM cards, demand drafts, cheques, etc.  
  • You need to be well acquainted with the new schemes, rules, guidelines, and new product launches of the bank.
  • You will be required to read all the circulars, official mails, and report if you find any mathematical error or language mistake.
  • You will be assigned the work of visiting sites of the clients demanding loans, and for the collection of mortgage documents, verification, etc. 
  • After the probationary period, you will be asked to handle work independently, such as issuing cheques, draft issuance, cash management, etc.  
  • Soon you will be assigned the work of increasing the business of the bank by opening new bank accounts, selling loans, securities, mortgages, and more.  
  • If need be, you will also be required to handle customer grievances, complaints, demands, and needs of the customers. You might look after such issues under a public relations officer department.
  • With progress and potential, you might also get a more serious and high level of work and responsibilities like, budgeting, planning, marketing, investment management, loan processing/approval, and more.
