Note: The in-hand salary may vary according to the place of posting and other aspects as well. Plus, there will be a deduction of 10% from the Basic Salary under the National Pension Scheme (NPS).
As an IBPS RRB Probationary Officer (Scale 1), you can receive a salary in the pay band of Rs. 51,000 to 58,000/-. Plus, you can also get an increment in the salary on a regular basis.

As an IBPS Officer Assistant (Multipurpose) or IBPS RRB Clerk your salary can range between Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 23,000.

Note: Apart from the annual increments, IBPS Office Assistant also receives other allowances and perks apart from their salary. This adds up to their salary making it almost Rs. 21,000/- to 23,000/- per month.
As an officers selected under IBPS RRB Exams, you can enjoy multiple allowances. The final in-hand salary of IBPS RRB Officers includes the sum of all of their allowances and basic pay after all the deductions. RRB Officers get Dearness Allowances, House Rental Allowances, and Special Allowances as per their basic pay. The Probationary Officers (PO) work under various departments in the bank. They ensure a smooth and uniform workflow in the bank. They are provided 2 years of training and a fixed amount is paid to them during the training period. The responsibilities of IBPS Probationary Officers are provided below:
Apart from the above job responsibilities, the POs may also be required to work under various other departments such as Loan, Credit, Recovery, Treasury, etc. as per the requirements. The job profile is highly dynamic and the banks rely on the POs for their various operations.
The Office Assistants (Clerks) take care of all the clerical works in the offices. They are responsible for assisting the higher-level officers in office work as well. They often work as the single window operators in the banks and carry out transaction and documents related work. Job responsibilities of IBPS RRB Clerk are provided below.
Apart from the above job responsibilities, they may also be allotted other work by their higher officials as per the requirements. Overall, the Clerks are responsible for providing direct service to the customers and handling day-to-day banking operations.

IBPS RRB syllabus covers, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, Hindi/English Language for both Prelims & Mains exam.
Q2. Is there any difference between the syllabus of IBPS RRB PO and Clerk exam?
No there is no difference between both the syllabuses. The topics are the same. Only the difference lies in the difficulty level of the questions asked in the exam.

Yes, you can apply for both the exams if you meet the eligibility criteria of both the posts.
Q6. Are the marks obtained in prelims exam considered for calculating the final selection?
No, only the marks scored in the mains and interview round will be considered for final selection.

Yes, as per the negative marking scheme, one-fourth of the marks (1/4th) will be deducted for every wrong answer marked.
