Pre-Requisites for Applying Online for IBPS PO Exam

Before applying online, candidates should—

  • scan their :
    • photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm) signature left thumb impression (If a candidate does not have left thumb, he/she may use his/ her right thumb. If both thumbs are missing, the impression of one of the fingers of the left hand, starting from the forefinger, should be taken. If there are no fingers on the left hand, the impression of one of the fingers of the right hand starting from the forefinger should be taken. If no fingers are available, the impression of left toe may be taken. In all such cases where left thumb impression is not uploaded, the candidate should specify in the uploaded document the name of finger and the specification of left/right hand or toe).
    • a hand written declaration (text given below). (In the case of candidates who cannot write, may get the text of the declaration typed and put their left-hand thumb impression (if not able to sign also) below the typed declaration and upload the document as per specifications.)

IBPS PO Exam 2025 Eligibility Criteria

IBPS PO 2025 eligibility criteria include age, qualification, nationality, and other factors, which the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) releases with the official notification PDF containing certain eligibility criteria. Candidates who do not meet or fall under these eligibility criteria are not eligible to apply for the IBPS Probationary Officer 2025 exam. Candidates intending to apply for CRP-PO/MT-XIII should ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS in this notification.

IBPS Probationary Officer 2025 Nationality

A candidate must be either –

  • a Citizen of India or
    • a subject of Nepal or
    • a subject of Bhutan or
    • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
    • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India,

IBPS PO Recruitment 2025

IBPS Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) are recruited every year through a Common Recruitment Process (CRP), commonly known as the IBPS PO MT exam. The Common Recruitment Process was started in 2011. The official IBPS PO /MT CRP XV 2025 will be released soon. The IBPS PO Exam selection process consists of 3 phases (preliminary, mains, and interview), and the candidate must qualify for each of them to advance to the next phase. • Online Preliminary Examination

All candidates who fill out the IBPS PO form are eligible to give this exam. An adequate number of candidates in each category are shortlisted by IBPS, depending upon the requirements for the Online Main Examination

• Online Main Examination

Shortlisted candidates in the Prelims exam are qualified for the mains exam. Candidates must qualify the sectional as well as an overall cutoff marks in the main exam to be eligible for an interview.

• Interview

The interview will be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS

• Final Result

The Final result is declared based on candidates’ combined performance in IBPS PO Mains and Interview Rounds.

• Provisional Allotment

The IBPS PO provisional allotment of the qualified candidates is released on the official website. The IBPS Banks are allotted based on candidates’ preferences, which are made at the time of online application.

IBPS PO Marking Scheme

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to arrive at a corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question.

IBPS PO 2025 Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT- XIII will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS. Interviews will be conducted at select centers. The centre, address of the venue, time & date of the Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter. Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from the authorized IBPS website www.ibps.in.

Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of paper, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc. Any communication device like a Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, a Health Band etc.Other items like Goggles, Handbags, Hairpin, Hair-band, Belt, Cap, etc. All ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, brooch, etc. should be thoroughly checked.Any watch/Wrist Watch, Camera, devices with screen freeze or storage facilities etc.Any metallic item Any edible item opened or packed, water bottle, etc. Any other item that could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices like a camera, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Any infringement of these instructions shall entail cancellation of candidature and disciplinary action, including a ban from future examinations and police complaints. Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned items to the venue of the examination, as arrangements for their safekeeping cannot be assured. IBPS or any agency engaged in the conduct of the online examination shall not take any responsibility for loss of any of the items. Responsibility of the safekeeping of the same shall rest with the candidates at their cost or no cost.
