IBPS PO 2023 Selection Process

As far as the application form there is a single IBPS PO application form for all the three stages, however separate admit cards will be released for each of the stages. Candidates those who will qualify for the IBPS PO prelims examination will be qualified for the mains and similarly those who will qualify mains as well will be shortlisted for the IBPS PO interview. At each stage of the IBPS PO 2023 selection process, the candidates will have to earn the required cutoff. While making the final merit list, prelims exam scores are not taken into account and only the scores of the mains exams and interview are considered for the final selection.

IBPS PO prelims exam date is 23rd Sep, 2023 and the IBPS PO mains examination date is 5th Nov, 2023. Check below the detailed IBPS PO prelims exam pattern:

NOTE:

• Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks tobe decided by IBPS.
• For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty
• If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate, there will be no penalty for that question

IBPS PO mains examination date is 5th Nov, 2023. The mains exam will be followed by the interview which is the last and the final stage of the IBPS PO selection process.

NOTE:

• Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview.

• Depending on the number of vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview.

IBPS PO 2023 Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the Online Main examination for CRP- PO/MT- XIII will subsequently be called for an Interview which will be conducted by the Participating banks. The Interview will be coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State/ UT with the help of IBPS and the interviews will be conducted at select centres. A call letter will be released for the IBPS PO 2023 interview in which the centre, venue address, time & date of the interview will be mentioned in the call letter. 

Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorized IBPS website www.ibps.in. It is important for the aspirants to know that any change in the date or centre of the interview will not be entertained. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100 and the minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWBD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of Online Main Exam and interview will be 80:20 respectively. The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the Online Main Examination of CRP- PO/MT-XIII and Interview.

List of Documents to be produced at the time of Interview

Those who are appearing for the interview should produce valid documents mentioned below. In the absence of valid documents candidature of the candidates shall be cancelled. IBPS/ Nodal Bank/ Participating Bank take no responsibility to receive/ collect any certificate/remittance/ document sent separately. The list of documents are mentioned below:

• Printout of the valid Interview Call Letter
• Valid system generated printout of the online application form registered for CRP-
• PO/MT-XIII
• Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authorities or SSLC/ Std. X Certificate with DOB)
• Mark-sheets or certificates for Graduation or equivalent qualification etc. Proper document from Board / University for having declared the result on or before 21.08.2023 has to be submitted.
• Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format as stipulated by Government of India in the case of SC / ST / OBC category candidates. Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming under creamy layer and/ or if their caste does not find place in the Central List are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as General in the online application form.
• Income and Asset Certificate issued by any one of the Authorities as notified by the Government of India in the prescribed format in the case of EWS category candidates.
• Disability certificate in the prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board in case of Persons with Benchmark Disability category.
• Candidates serving in Government / quasi govt offices/ Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalised Banks and Financial Institutions) are required to produce a “No Objection Certificate” in original from their employer at the time of interview. 
• Experience certificates, if any. (Hardcopy/ Digitally signed copy/ Received from Valid email id- subject to verification, of experience certificates will be accepted)
• Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility.

NOTE:

1. Candidates will not be allowed to appear for the interview if he/ she fails to produce the relevant Eligibility documents as mentioned above.
2. Non production of relevant eligibility documents at the time of interview shall make the candidate ineligible for further process of recruitment under CRP-PO/MT-XIII
3. No documents shall be directly sent to IBPS/ Nodal Banks by candidates before or after the interview.
4. IBPS may seek preferences from those candidates who apply under CRP-PSB- XIII for more than one post i.e. Clerks, Probationary Officers/ Management Trainees and Specialist Officers, to indicate their preference of post amongst the ones applied for.
