“I totally relied on the Mocks”, says Amisha Gupta; Cleared SBI PO

She details her preparation strategy in below article where she has emphasised the importance of taking mock tests. PM: Please brief us on when did you start preparing for the competitive exams and how was your preparation journey.

Amisha: I started my journey during lockdown period. From there I complete my entire syllabus within 2-3 months and every week used to give one mock of pre level. 

With the preparation I also used to solve difficult questions also. When one week is left for the pre I used to give mocks from PracticeMock daily and I give at least 3-4 mocks daily so that I can maintain the speed in pre level.

For mains I mostly relied on the GS section and reasoning .

I revised GS daily and almost 7 times in the entire period of mains exam. 

SBI PO was my first interview in my entire life and I don’t had the any idea about that so I used to watch u tube videos available by various sites and prepared the current topics with banking awareness.

That’s all is the entire journey of mine .

Utilising my time during lockdown was the best step which I had done. Within 6-8 months I was able to write both pre and mains exam and that is the beauty of banking preparation. You only had to follow your dreams and dedication.

PM: Which exams did you appear in till date and what were their results?

Amisha: RRB cerical – got selected in up prathama grameen bank

Sbi po- selected 

IBPS po- given interview 

IBPS clerk – appeared for the mains

PM: How did you prepare for the English section?

Amisha: I totally relied on the mocks as well as newspaper reading.

PM: How did you prepare for the Quantitative Aptitude section?

Amisha: I completed my basics with the free videos available on the u tube. And then I relied on the mocks question .

PM: How did you prepare for the Reasoning section?

Amisha: I solved reasoning puzzles  daily with the free mini mocks provided by PracticeMock and paid pdf.

PM: How did you prepare for the General Awareness section?

PM: What was your overall strategy? Did you follow a study schedule? If yes, please share the details.

PM: Did you face any hurdle as well? How did you overcome it?

Amisha: Everyday there is a new hurdle, I completed my whole syllabus with the  smartphone only and given my IBPS pre with the help of smart fone preparation. I don’t had laptop at that time. So for that I must suggest If u r having a laptop or computer prepare with that only it will sure provide u the speed which u want. 

Read newspaper daily it builds up the comprehension style in u and also help in GS.
