How Many Hours Should You Study For IBPS RRB PO 2025 Exam

Beginner (From the beginning): If you are new to banking exams or need to build a strong base, then do participatory work for 5-6 hours a day for 3-6 months. This will enable you to cover the syllabus well and practice regularly.

Intermediate (Some background knowledge): If you have prior experience of competitive exams and are familiar with all the topics of the syllabus, then 3-4 hours a day for 3-4 months will be enough, strengthen the weak areas and practice our topic tests and solve as many questions as possible.

Advanced (Well-prepared candidates): If you are already familiar with the exam pattern and have a good understanding of the concepts, then 2-3 hours a day for 2-3 months can be enough, with emphasis on mock tests, revision and time management.

Key factors to consider

Exam Pattern and Syllabus:
The IBPS RRB PO 2025 exam consists of a Preliminary Exam (Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude, 80 marks, 45 minutes) and Main Exam (Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, Computer Knowledge, 200 marks, 2 hours) followed by an Interview.
The IBSP RRB PO Syllabus is vast, covering topics like puzzles, data interpretation, Quadratic Eqations and many more topics.

Study Plan Structure:

  • A 3-month study plan suggests dedicating the first month to learning concepts (foundation phase), the second to practice, and the third to revision and mock tests, with 5–6 hours daily for beginners.
  • A 4-month plan allocates 3–4 hours daily, dividing time across subjects weekly to reduce stress and ensure comprehensive coverage.

Mock Tests and Revision:
Regular mock tests (at least 1-2 weekly in the last month) and analysis are important to improve speed and accuracy. Allocate 1-2 hours for each test and 1 hour for review. 1-2 hours per day revision should be done in the last 4-6 weeks to reinforce concepts and formulas.

Breaks and Efficiency:
Avoid long, unproductive study sessions. Divide your study time into focused blocks of 1-2 hours with 10-15 minute breaks to maintain concentration.
Quality matters more than quantity – Use reliable resources like previous year papers, mock tests, and standard books. We are providing more free resources, like the free topic-wise test, mini mock test, Ebooks, Previous Year Papers and other resources.
